Cricket said it had not been activated. Ended up going into a Cricket store and buying one. Giving two stars instead of one star because Best Buy store manager resolved the issue fairly.

Waste of time and money

SIM will not activate giving various error messages on device and using the Cricket /join portal. Called Cricket support twice and got two different responses: 1) Best Buy did not activate or check out the SIM from inventory. Went to Best Buy to verify and all looks fine. Activation number in hand. 2) Called again, now the SIM kit was purchased too long ago to activate. I should buy a new one to become a Cricket Wireless customer. No thank you.

If you have to purchase a phone from Best Buy I would recommend purchasing a sim card somewhere else or directly from the carrier. It is worth the extra trip to avoid the stress and headaches associated with activating a Sim Card from Best Buy. That being said the associate that resolved the issue did a great job, but for the sim card itself, zero stars

Buy a real phone

Now it's just more plastic and metals to add to the landfill. If I had burned the cash, at least I would have gotten some energy out of the deal.

This sim is not working and did waste my time

I knew something wrong when I check out from the pickup because they tried to scan 3 or more sim cards and tried call from help from phone, when I picked up the item.

Therefore I was out of pocket and no refund by Best Buy
