A fantastic movie and a fantastic boxed set. Wonderful bonus features, lovely artwork, and I love the pull out paper insert as well. So grateful that Criterion has chosen to put out Wes’s movies with so much love and care.

This is my first Criterion film. I am a long time fan of The Life Aquatic. The Criterion edition brings this film new life. Between the extras, cover art, mastering: this is a great buy!

wes anderson does it again, great director, great cast, = greay movie

I always saw Life Aquatic as a relatable film about depression and feeling lost at sea (no pun intended). Zissou finds himself after experiencing multiple cliche encounters that are straight out of 80's action 101. He doesn't have complete peace with himself, but there are always more adventures. Anderson keeps the pace brisk and the humor dry and deadpan. Murray gives a career best performance, personally. Criterion knocks it out of the park in terms of A/V and supplements, as they always do for director Wes.

Wes Anderson, known for his quirky style of film making has created yet another wonderful engrossing movie. Staring the always wonderful Bill Murray, the movie looks great! Since it's a newer film Criterion didn't have to do much with it but it really shines in HD. It's funny, sad, interesting and even has a little action in it. Featuring the Wes Anderson regulars, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Huston among other stars such as Willem Dafoe, Cate Blanchett there's enough acting talent to carry the entire movie.

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift, the receiver had been wanting this movie for quite some time but had been unable to locate one. The first place I looked was Best Buy on-line. Not only did Best Buy have it, but the convenience of ordering it on-line and picking it up in the store, after being notified it was in, was AWESOME! The movie was a big hit with the person that received the gift!!

If you're looking at this, you're already a fan of the movie or interested in picking up the Criterion Version. Do yourself a favor and get it, but beware, you're going to want the rest of the Wes Anderson criterion collection. The transfers aren't mind blowing, but the quality is definitely good enough to not distract. the features as the dvd version. Definitely worth a double dip and enjoy!

I am a huge fan of Wes Anderson so I'm trying to collect all of his criterion collection movies! Love this one the cover is so nice and quality is great. Would recommend if you're a Wes fan and love this movie

I had the originally 2 disc criterion DVD from the first release. I'm happy they finally got a blu ray transfer and jumped on getting the blu ray releas as soon as it came out. All the special features are the same from the original release, which isn't a bad thing. Great picture and sound on this release.

This is the quintessential Wes Anderson film. I heard that a lot of people don’t like it but I don’t understand why. It is extremely funny in a Wes Anderson kind of way.

I love anything by the genious Wes Anderson, great cast, story, cinematography, do yourself a favor and watch every Wes Anderson movie, one of the best and most unique directors of our time

Great movie, I've watched it many times. I love Wes Anderson's directorial style, and it shines in The Life Aquatic.

Not my most favorite Wes Anderson movie, but still has enough of his trademark style to make it enjoyable and fun to watch. He certainly knows how to construct a weird but realistic world for his characters to inhabit.

This DVD came exactly as described and even arrived a little early! Made an excellent Christmas present for someone who really loves this movie.

A Wes Anderson movie is a trip into another world for 2 hours. His attention to detail is second to none. This is Bill Murray at his best.
