    Old MX 500 solid state drive that was purchased and installed at Geek Squad failed in about one year. So, had to have it replaced so the laptop would function. So far the new one is working.

    This is my second MX500 1TB drive. The first is running my desktop and has for a year. The recent one is currently in a external USB3 case and being used for backup. Both are and have been very reliable.

    Crucial makes a decent hard drive; bought two of these for a media server. They access quickly and we've had no issues so far with either one. I'll definitely buy these drives in the future.
