Died completely, not even 6 months later. I barely got to even use this. At first when my drive stopped appearing after 3 months I thought maybe Windows updated to a bad driver or something. Odd, but could be feasible. I checked drivers, downloaded from Crucial/Micron, no luck. Then checked my bios, the drive wasn't showing up there either. I don't often update my bios, and it was working fine previously, but I updated and tried troubleshooting there anyway. No luck. Tried a different M.2 on my motherboard (I have 2 other m.2's, 4 slots total), nothing. Lastly I have an enclosure for M.2's that I use with a working 970 evo, and that all works fine. Pop this in the enclosure, nothing either, so I can only conclude this has completely died. Sad, because I was hoping I could buy a few of these long term. Stay away from these if you want them to last, luckily I only had some games on this I can easily re-download.

Great As A Back Up Drive For Storage Of Photos And Music. Would Not Use For High Ending Gaming Or Primary Drive.

It's very ok. And that is putting it lightly. If you're only using it to store a couple of things and only pull it out ever so often, then this might work for you. But if you need PERFORMANCE, if you depend on high read and write speeds, if your line of work demands a high speed drive that is going to be put to the test day in and out, THIS IS NOT THAT DRIVE. After only 4 hours of of very light work, the drive overheats and speeds drop to a staggering 50mbps and even lower. The advertised speeds aren't sustainable whatsoever. I really wanted to like this drive but unfortunately if falls real short.

Was not happy with the time a backup needed to complete using my external device. Even transferring my Steam folder was slow. Set this as the backup drive for a Samsung 980 pro and goodness gracious backups are fast.

Good: It's the only 4TB I could find that is single sided (ideal for laptops). Not so good: It says it's 4TB but it's really only 4000GB so I had to shrink another 4TB drive's partitions down before I could migrate it over.

Got this to replace a samsung 980pro that went bad after a couple of years. Cloning the drive was a bit counter intuitive, you need to install this drive in the pc and put the original in the external enclosure to clone the drive. So far so good.
