    Great Value! I bought this to round out my Alienware Aurora R-16. OEM cost for a 4TB NVMe SSD is nearly 4x the cost! I p refer to keep OS and applications on one SSD, and data and projects on another, larger SSD. I have many large media projects as well large programming projects which can quickly fill up a dr8ve.

    This the fastest NVME 4TB device I've yet tested as external additional storage for my 2022 M1 MacBook Pro Max computer. It routinely reads and writes in the 2700-2800 MB/s range in Blackmagic Speed Test. It also runs cooler than my other Samsung 990Pro nvme drives which are also very fast, but about 5-10% slower read/write speeds compared to the Crucial.

    I was excited to see Crucial decided to make a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD for under $0.10/GB. This easily maxes out my current PCIe 3.0 slot, and is already more than enough for anything I can think of doing. Then, it will get even faster next year when I upgrade my cpu and motherboard! Why it's not 5 stars: No software for cloning the OS over. My last SSD was a Samsung, and they have really good software included to transfer everything over. I used Clonezilla, which worked, but it was a much more frustrating experience. If you don't mind that part, then 5 stars.

    So far this has been extremely fast. To give an idea of the load it's being put through, I am in the process of seeding a database with almost 1 billion records. This has really cut down the processing time (I was previous using an external drive). It was easy to install and of course, Crucial is known for making quality products. I'm extremely happy with
