first off im start with WOOOW this game is just insane graphics are the best ive seen hands down. the game play is smoooooth and fun its a mix of call of duty n halo but mixed just perfect. multiplayer is great the maps are just awesome. perk system takes awhile to get use to n so does the killstreaks. it plays just like call of duty same button layout and every thing except for the right and left bumper those are used for ur cloaking or ur armor witch is sooo coool u kinda have to get use to switching them on and off because u have to conserve your nano suits energy the less energy u have the easier it is for a enemy to kill u. another cool feature is that ur nano suit forms to ur style of game play. the multiplayer is just a huge plus the singleplayer takes a while to pick up and actually start having fun storyline is pretty cool overall a reaally goood game worth the money. this game is one of the better fps of this year sicne blackops n homefront where both HUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEE disapointments!!!

I downloaded the multiplayer demo this morning on my Xbox and geared up for the inevitable noob feeling you'd get from any other game. To my surprise, my first match wasn't too bad on my behalf. The controls seem easy to get used to for any 1st person shooter fan and there are plenty of options for button assignments and sensitivity. The control over my player felt somewhat like Modern Warfare 2 mixed with a bit of a Halo feel. The map was solid and the graphics were nothing short of what you'd expect from Crytek(Incredible graphics). The environment is extremely hands on and everything feels very vulnerable. The nanosuits have a lot of different capabilities and options and they all seem to balance fairly well. The guns look great and the HUD is very easy to understand. I can only imagine how great the campaign is going to play and feel.
All in all, I think this is an awesome game just from playing the multiplayer demo and I can't wait for the full game to release in March. If you're a fan of realistic gameplay, this one probably isn't for you. It does seem to be more of a Halo approach. Be expecting a lot of tactical thinking and make sure you're always aiming for those headshots. But, if you are into the futuristic sci-fi intense 1st person shooters, this one is going to satisfy your taste buds.

The Game, is Fantastic!

A very nicely done shooter.
Graphics are excellent and that is a good thing because the visuals carry you through the 1st 2 hours or so of the game. It was very basic and not all that much fun. Creep, crawl, shoot, and then of course a subway section. Just a standard shooter, but then you meet the aliens, the pace quickens the battles become more intense and you keep telling yourself I am only going to play until the next check point.
Crysis 2 is a great change of pace. Honestly I have had enough Call of Duty and way more then enough Halo. However AI on par with those would have been nice, Crysis 2 AI was a little to inconsistent at times. Enemies would get stuck on objects and never go around. They could also be 3 feet from you in open spaces and never see you but and enemy 2 blocks away spots you and starts shooting while you have cover between. But this is minor once the pace quickens and the fights become more of he white knuckle fare.
I enjoyed the game and will enjoy it some more as I play through on the harder levels of difficulty.
One thing I did find very disappointing has nothing to do with the game play. The packaging has to be some of the cheapest I have ever received. For a $60 game (labeled as a limited edition) I would hope you could get a proper case. This one was so thin and flimsy (more of a punched out grid, to save on plastic I expect) that it warps and you have to lineup the edges to close it securely. I also found the 2 pages folded in ½ with a black and white picture of the control scheme a joke. I know no one ever reads the thing but my goodness if you ever wanted to.
But the important part. The Game, is Fantastic!

Making a game that was meant for PC wasn't an easy task, but developers at Crytek managed to pull on top and create a game which could be ran on consoles. Crysis 2 looks and performs great, one of the best graphic games, if not the best on Xbox 360. The Campaign is interesting and long, the AI seem a little strange at some points, but thats a minor flaw. The game has a variety of weapons with the option to create a class with your own personal load out. The controls in this game ressemble Call of Duty's so you don't have to worry about learning the controls if you're familiar with the COD series. Overall this game is a must buy if you're into first person shooters even if you're not buy it anyway you won't be disappointed.

I had been wanting to get this game for a while and now I am glad that I did. The graphics are incredible with stunning environments and sounds. The games storyline is difficult to understand right away but as you get farther it makes sense. Swearing doesn't come around until you interact with the Marines/C.E.L.L. who swear profusely. Not really a whole lot of blood except when you get a headshot but their head remains intact. Some enemies are hard to kill so using the same strategy over and over again won't work which makes you think differently. Overall the game is Great. I will note that I do not recommend this game for kids under 15.

I was originally deciding between Homefront and Crysis 2. I started to get really sick of Black Ops so I stopped by my local Gamestop and gave this game a shot.
Difficulty 5* - Even though the controls are pretty much identical to CoD, I still find that this game is hard to be good at. It isn't one of those games where I can just start playing any CoD or Halo and be the best.
Responsiveness 5* - I believe this game is only 30 FPS but that doesn't even matter because the sensitivity seems fluent and smooth.
Graphics 5* - Although they may not look as good as dual graphic cards on someones $3000 PC, this game has better graphics than any other game I played.
Fun 5* - This game so far has not gotten boring for me. I've played 13 hours already and I'm only a level 20. The perks or loadouts or whatever they are seem to be fun to upgrade and theres definitely some guns I see myself using 24/7. Cough Cough Feline and Scar

The graphics in this game are excellent and the sounds are incredible, that's what EA is always good at. The environments are pretty cool in both campaign and multiplayer. However these are the only pros to this game. Now the bad....let me just say that not only did I do the entire last level of the game without ever firing a bullet, after playing the first level or 2 of the campaign and saw that while in cloak mode(invisible) I could literally walk up to the enemy and nothing happened, I did approximately 3/4 of the campaign without ever firing a bullet. Any shooter game creater should know that by putting in a cloak mode completely defeats the purpose of SHOOTING people!! Basically the campaign was boring and the story was pretty lame.
Now for the multiplayer.....first of all good luck playing a game with any kind of good connection. I have a perfect 5 bar connection and am lucky to 2 bar. It takes a million bullets to kill someone, almost seems like twice as many bullets as it takes in Halo. There are very few guns to choose from and none of them really seem fun. Its very hard to see what your shooting at if your using any kind of scope bc it's right in your face...literally. Bottom line...great concept, great asthetics, poor overall follow through. Another EA failure.

Crysis 2 is a visually stunning first person shooter that starts you off as the marine Alcatraz. As disaster strikes you appear to be left for dead along with your fellow marines. You are saved by Prophet of the original Crysis and subjected to the life he once had and now have to save the city of NY. Now this is only the beginning of what is Crysis 2. With the ability of cloak giving you brief invisibility or armor mode making you seem like a walking talk, your options of how to play the game is your choice. This also comes into affect with silenced weapons, diverted paths like sewer tunnels and rooftops, and much more. Unlike some shooters, Crysis 2 has a campaign of decent length that really meshes well as you come to understand just what Crysis is all about. The multiplayer is almost like a merge of fast paced halo reach with COD weaponry and controls. To top it all of your nanosuit has specific upgrade functions to fit your individual play style.

I would reccommend this game to anyone who has played shooter games before such as killzone 3 or any call of duty game because the difficulty is impressive even for an experienced gamer, the game always responds( I have not had any trouble at all with it lagging or anything), the graphics are good, and the game will continue to keep you interested; it is very fun. The only reason I would not recommend this to a first time shooter gamer is becasue of the difficulty. The game does ask you at the beginning if you would like to play recruit difficulty, for beginners, but the game can still be very challenging at times. I still recommend this to anyone with experience though.

In Crysis 2 you play the role of a soldier, alone in a urban jungle, you use the super-human abilities provided by an advance suit to save the world from alien invaders. The Nano suit has a stream line hud,a reduce cool down period and 4 modes. The Nano suit let's you customize the style of play you like best, and makes replaying the game using a different mode better.Crysis 2 does not have to rely on achievements or trophies to give it another run thru.Their are a variety of ways you can play all 19 chapters, with each chapter taking an hour to play thru,so you'll be getting your moneys worth. The story is not that interesting because it's just not creative enough, and some of the dialog is somewhat awful to say the least. The A.I. in the game is somewhat spot on,when your out in the open enemies will charge, and flank you. Some enemies find it hard to go around cover sometimes and get stuck. The multiplayer is top notch, your Nano suit can be upgraded nearly everytime you move up a level. This is one FPS you should not miss.

Crysis 2, by far has the best graphics of any game to date. It is a cross between Halo and Call of Duty. The campaign is great, but the game shines in multiplayer with its unlock system, team based gameplay, and insane graphics.
If you want another fps that you will play over and over again, this is the game for you.

When I decided to play this game, I had heard of Crysis before, but have never played it. I didn't really hear much about the quality of the game, but just how incredible the graphics were, and how you had to have the top of the line computer to run it. I was never a PC gamer, but I jumped at the opportunity to play it when it came to the consoles. Once I picked it up, I definitely saw what all the hype was about. It is a game that has multiple ways to complete almost any objective, and that lets you choose how you want to play.
Graphics: Simply put, these are the best graphics any console has ever seen. I played it on the 360, and have yet to see any game even compare to the quality of this game. If you are a gamer that cares a lot about graphics, you can not go wrong with this game.
Story: The story is interesting and confusing at the same time. You start as a silent protagonist who is with his army unit, and are on a way to a mission, but nobody knows what the mission is. After a little speculation of what the mission entails, your ship is attacked by aliens before you get there. Your entire unit is massacred, and you are left stranded in some large body of water. A man in a metallic suit appears while you are at the verge of blacking out, and he is able to fight off the alien ship and pull you to shore.
When you wake up, you find yourself in the metallic suit the stranger was wearing, and the stranger dead on the ground next to you. The suit activates a piece of memory footage, and shows the stranger telling you how he has become infected as he puts the suit on you. He also tells you that you are the last hope before he kills himself.
As soon as you become aware of your surroundings, you are contacted through the suit by a man who mistakes you for the stranger, and starts instructing you to meet up with him. Immediately after, you are attacked by members of the military. From there you just try to get to the man who has contacted you while fighting your way through the military and an alien invasion.
The story itself is pretty confusing, but I think it is meant to be that way. You really don't know what's going on or why the majority of the time, but neither does you character, so it works out. I just wish the main character wasn't silent, so you could hear what he thinks about what is going on.
Gameplay: Just wow. When I said that there were multiple ways to play, I wasn't kidding. The mysterious suit that the stranger gave you gives you incredible powers to use. The suit itself will have an energy meter, that will be drained when you use one of the various abilities that it has to offer. The run command as well as the super jump are two of the more basic abilities, but they still drain the suit energy. The suit also gives you the ability to use cloak, essentially turning you invisible to enemies that have not already detected you. This is very useful for playing a stealth style throughout the game, or just remaining undetected until you can get to a better location for fighting. You also have the "maximum armor" ability with the suit. This ability lets you take massive amount of damage like falling from the roof of a building, taking a round from a tank, or just taking a bunch of bullets. There are a few other you will run into while in the midst of combat and not really think twice how awesome they truly are, like the ability to eliminated recoil from firing your gun. While it may not sound like much, it helps a lot when taking out enemies from a distance while minimizing the waste of ammo.
When you first enter an area, you will usual have "tactical options available". You are able to view these tactics by pulling down your visor, and taking a look around the environment. This visor will show you what options you have such as a possible location to flank your enemies, avoid your enemies altogether, or to just mark enemies and ammo on your mini map so you are not taken by surprise. "Nanovision" is also another visor you are able to equip, and it basically acts as a heat detector, which lets you view enemies easier when they are somewhat camouflaged or hiding.
Another cool feature this game offers is the ability to customize your weaponry in the go. You just tap "select" and you are able to change if you have a silencer, what the secondary attachment is, as well as what type of sights/scope you want to equip. This allows you to go from all out close quarters combat to long range stealth combat in a matter of seconds. Holding "select" will instead bring up the menu that will allow you to customize your Nanosuit. These abilities include stuff like reducing the amount of energy used when running or doing a super-jump, or being able to see the path of bullets that are being shot at you, or being able to see the path that enemies are currently walking on. They way to upgrade these abilities are to kill aliens pick up the items that they drop. Early on you will not earn to many, but by half way through the game you will have more than plenty if you are playing with a combat style.
Overall: This game is amazing. If you try and play it like a traditional FPS you will fail. That is how I was first playing when I started this game, but as I became more familiar with the Nanosuit and its abilities, I started to make it through the levels much easier. The ability to switch up play styles is also very helpful. I found myself using the "maximum armor" a lot of the time and just tanking my way through enemies, though there were times where I found myself using stealth to avoid a huge fight.
Easily one of the best single player FPS I have ever experienced. I will say that I did not get a chance to try multiplayer yet, but from what I have heard it is equally amazing.

Crysis 2 is a very great, fun, and amusing game to play. By far this is the best multiplayer experience I have ever had. The game has a great storyline and much more. There isn't a huge variety of guns, but it doesn't really matter because the guns are really good, you need to know how to use the guns in order to be good (if your not very good you will get angry). The guns can have attachments (they're really cool). There are "perks" for the nanosuit that can help you throughout the multiplayer. The graphics are excellent in this game, better than any other game I've played. This game achieved the highest point of xbox history. This has been the game I have been searching for. I have finally found the game that is perfect (by my standards anyway)!!! Get this game!!
P.S. Don't judge the game by watching it (youtube), you have to try it for yourself in order to say you like it or not. YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME THOUGH!!!! I LOVE YOU CRYTEK AND CRYSIS 2!!!
