Classy looking toaster that performs

Worst Warranty and Poor Functionality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My old manual toaster that I bought for around $25 lasted years and years (more than 10 years) and is still functioning without any problems. We don't use the toaster on a regular basis. I just bought this unit as an upgrade spending double the money based on the reviews and the stainless steel look to match with our kitchen appliances. The product was purchased in June'16 and within 10-15 max times of usage, the unit failed. The lever would not stay and lock in place and the bread would just keep coming out. When called Cuisinart for their warranty (3 years warranty), I had to wait for almost 30 min to get someone on the line & they want me pay for the shipping charge to send the unit back and almost was going to charge me $10 to send me the replacement unit. When I asked for a Supervisor to talk about the shipping charges, the rep kept me waiting for a long time finally transferring me to their technical services where no one answered for almost 45 min. I will never buy any Cuisinart products in my life again and I would not recommend this brand to anyone. Consider some other brand who makes durable products with good customer service.
