    After much research we purchased this Cuisinart toaster. Unboxed and set the toaster up today and when my husband went to toast his rye bread it would not fit in the toaster. The bread is a major brand - Levy's. The slice is 5.75 inches wide and the opening of the toaster is less than that - approx. 5 ⅜ inches. Tried putting it in the long way and that would only toast about 5". When purchasing this unit we never thought it wouldn't fit a piece of bread. Sadly, we will be returning the unit.
