Definitely a healthier option without the additives on the traditional microwave popcorn bags. However, the clear top gets extremely hot so if kids are operating the machine, make sure there's adult supervision to avoid any accidents.

The machine is perfect, except thin plastic cover.

This popper is the fastest popcorn maker I've ever had--doesn't take any longer than a bag of microwave popcorn, it never burns, and leaves few unpopped kernels. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. No bells & whistles, and none are needed--it just works.
