Awful design

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am single and use this all the time to make excellent steaks, burgers, & other meats quickly and easily and they taste GREAT. Cleanup is very easy -- even burned on food wipes right off in hot soapy water. The plates are dishwasher safe, but I don't put them in there because I still fear losing that wonderful non-stick plus I use them daily and don't run my DW that often. I love the ability to "hover" the top plate over something to melt a cheese topping and it's big enough for a 1-2 person pizza! It also opens up as a griddle and the ability to have the two halves on different cooking temps. I loved it so much, I bought one for my son and his wife and they love it too -- they were able to get rid of a hard-to-store griddle (with less cooking space) and a too-small contact grill. Really, I can't say enough about this grill, especially for those who want a good home-cooked meal but don't like spending time -- I can literally have a steak and veggies cooked for myself in under 15 minutes including heating up the appliance, and after eating, cleanup takes only a few minutes. It's the best thing I've ever purchased for my kitchen.

Fantastic Grill

I looked around for an indoor grill that would do what I wanted it to do and and I am so glad I bought this product. So far I've grilled ribeye steaks to medium rare perfection. Two of the steaks were big and hearty bone in steaks and they were perfect. We made pork chops for lunch today and again, perfect. Perhaps the best part of all is the quick and easy clean up. This is a winner!
