I used this to make zucchini fries. Wow! So quickly done and worked great. Very sturdy. A little scary with the sharp knives, but you just have to use caution. Can't wait to use it again soon! I purchased this on the Deal of the Day. Great price and very happy with it!

This was on sale, so I had to buy it. What a simple way to slice vegetables. Plus the cut resistant glove keeps my fingers away from the blade. It makes dinner prep a breeze and assures me safely cut vegetables. It allows for numerous adjustments to handle all your needs.

Mandoline is large ,heavy & feels well made. Blades are super sharp. It is not made to sit on a bowl as you slice ,too large . But with both the front and rear having fold down legs it is easy to slice over a plate or cutting board etc. It is handy to be able to change all the cutting options with just the two knobs, I am used to having to change blades. I would have given at least 4 stars if the food holder had been better engineered . It only has holding pins around the edges , No pin in the center . This make it unusable for a singe cucumber ,carrot, small onion, etc. It Would have been so inexpensive to add a few extra pins. I will be using the food holder from my old Mandoline .

This is a real Mandolin. We replaced a cheap plastic one, so this one is much better. It is stainless, so it can go in the dishwasher and you don't handle the blades. Even has cut resistant glove.

Good quality well constructed kitchen tool. Multi-functional device for all kinds of slicing and dicing of food preparation ingredients required for meals, salads ,snacks and cooking.

This little device is spectacular. You won’t believe how conveniently you can thinly slice vegetables. The blades are very sharp, but it is extremely well designed and you are unlikely to hurt yourself using it. However, we all know there are some people… It even comes with a safety glove for added protection while you are slicing. I bought mine as a “deal of the day“ and feel like I got a fantastic deal on this. I’ll gladly give it a five star rating. By the way, I’m a totally independent reviewer, and I am generally critical of poorly designed products, or products that don’t match my expectations.

I have a mostly plastic mandoline that started to warp, so when this stainless one went on sale, I jumped on it. It's much heavier, and noticeably more sturdy. The controls took a little getting used to, but the directions help.

I used this product only a couple of times so far to slice onions and tomatoes and cut a potato for fries. I liked the results, but need more practice! I was concerned the width of the mandoine might not be adequate but it easily handled the large onion I had on hand. I cook for one person only, so was also concerned cleaning it might be so cumbersome it wouldn't be worth the bother. However, using a dish brush and kitchen sprayer made easy work of it. The unit is also dishwasher safe, but I don't run my dishwasher every day.

Excellent quality. Restaurant grade. Mostly metal, very little plastic

Easy to use. The metal slice is so much easier to use, and will last a long time. Added PRO it’s not plastic .

Love using this product! I had another brand (ex kept it) this one is so nice...not plastic(like other) so no gouges in it...and it comes with a glove to protect your hands! You can make slices super thin ..or thicker...easily.

Got this on sale and understanding how to apply pressure the safest and most effective way thru each medium is the only learning curve. Blades are sharp and it’s easy to wash in the sink if it fits. Does what it’s supposed to do. Not much to complain about.

This is awesome. Its so nice that when I thinly slice purple cabbage it doesn't stain. Great for uniform & thinly sliced veggies to place inside our home made rice wrap salad rolls & sushi. Easy to clean and more stable than the plastic versions. I keep it in the box when im not using it so that it stores away neatly and i dont have to worry about missing parts.

Makes cutting much faster and decent solid material.

You can't fault a solid effort on the sturdy design except for one thing only. That one thing just happens to be how the blade is placed - perfectly horizontal with the frame. If only Cuisinart would have put an angle. Hitting a not so solid item straight on the blade results in a mushed tomato, or a broken and bent bell pepper. This is common for anyone who uses cutting knifes in the kitchen...nobody just chops straight down on the majority of foods while cutting. Everyone uses a pull technique while the blade touches the item in a downward and pulling motion. The blade needs to be angled to dig into the food thus making a clean cut. Sorry, I have to take it back because that is the only thing it messes up on, and unfortunately, that is the only flaw that cannot exist on an item like this.

I bought this a while ago but just used it for the first time. This is not the typical plastic ones you usually see for household use, this is restaurant quality. I bought it on sale and happy I did.
