i bought this to protect all my home theater and network from power outages and surges. i love the LCD that shows the battery charge, load on UPS, and power output. if you connect it directly to a computer it has software that will save any open document and safely close down all applications and the computer too. my apartment has had some major power outages, especially during thunder storms. this allows me to continue to watch tv or use the internet when everyone else is left in the dark. i really like that the LCD only comes on when the unit is on battery power, but you can press the status button to see the info. when on battery there is a loud beep that lets you know so you can turn everything off. the load display is very handy when on battery.

I've had this device for ~3 months and during that period the power has gone out twice for many hours and has "blinked" 5 or 6 times. Half the outlets in the back of the unit provide battery power and surge protection and the other half are just surge protection. It kept my machine/tv and router running for almost 45 minutes.

Always use CyberPower UPS

I use UPS with all electronic devices in my house and business. Whether it is CyberPower or other brand, 3 yrs is a good health window for batteries in UPS. Other famous brand costs almost 25% more than CyberPower, lasting for similar time frame, I have no reason to spend more money for equivalent quality. I had few small ones causing problem but CyberPower exchanged them with new units. This unit runs 2 monitors, one computer, 2 professional inkjet printers and and all network accessories. Tested it by disconnecting power with full load, ran for almost 10 minutes when powerpanel personal edition software started to shut down computer. I can check total load, voltage and battery status on LCD screen. I would like CyberPoer to add more Battery backed power sockets and less surge only sockets. Overall happy with purchase and will recommend others.

Well, I don't usually review, but I was particularly pleased with this piece of machinery. I just bought and built my own computer (which came out to way more than I care to mention), and I wanted to make sure it was as well protected as I could manage.
So I went to Best Buy in search of protection from surges and irregular current (which happens a lot in an 80-year old house).
They directed me to this product's larger (and more expensive) counter-part, but that was primarily for business work-stations. So I found the smaller and more home-suited product that I'm reviewing right now.
Pros:
1) Super-easy setup
2) Works well and quickly
3) Charges pretty fast (as far as a UPS goes)
4) Higher tech than most on-market UPS's
The only Con to this that I found (which was more operator error than anything) was the size of the warnings on the instructions. I had it up and running, and almost fried something while trying to plug it in.
Now, one of the the super small-sized warnings in the instruction manual (yes I read the manual) says to unplug the device from the wall and shut it off before plugging anything into it, but since it was hard to see, I missed it the first time.
Moral, read EVERYTHING.
Other than that, a splendid device that does exactly what it says it'll do, plus a little sparkle with the computer-to-device USB interface.

Powers my electric couch for weeks at a time

I bought this UPS to power my electric couch that sits in the middle of the room where there is no convenient access to a wall plug. It appears I can get several weeks of operation in between recharges. It's small enough that I've mounted it inside the center console on the couch so I can reach in to turn it on/off then operate the couch normally. When battery gets low, then I run a power cord to couch and let it recharge overnight. In the morning the cord gets put away and I have an unobstructed path again. It came with software that lets me turn off the warning chimes and it seems to be well up to the task I need it for.

Works for 1 workstation

This is great for a single workstation that needs a constant battery backup. The display works wonderfully and has an auto shutoff.
However if you are looking to back up more stations or a work areas this is NOT the battery for you. with only 4 battery ports.
There are cheaper options out there for a single computer or entertainment center. But for 1 work heavy work station with two monitors, speakers and a printer, it works wonderfully.

I actually have three CyberPower batter backups. I've had a couple of times where power went out and nothing shut off because they were plugged into the CyperPower units. I like these better than previous battery backups. I live in Houston, and it gets warm here in the summer. The backups run cooler than my prior units, meaning the room stays cooler in the summer.

This UPS so far is very nice. worked great right out of the box. Load tested well. I have no data on long term battery lasting yet. Only issue I would have is the blue power LED on front is so very bright. If this UPS is in your bedroom at night it will light the entire room.

Power fail battery life was longer than more expensive units. Easy to set up and use. I like that the display is only on when you want to check the status of the unit.

I don't know how many years of service I will get out of this unit but my last unit lasted about 3 years. Overall it seems to be a good unit for the price and the output and it keeps all my electronics safe!

I had an older battery backup unit on my primary computer. It was a great unit while it was working, except that the emergency shutdown software wouldn't work right on my PC. This new unit has much better features and looks great on my desk, plus its software works the way it's supposed to! The price was quite reasonable too, and shipping was free.

I bought this unit as a battery backup for a remote radio site where commercial power is very dirty. The site routinely has surges above 120volts and power fluctuations all the time. I've had one of these same units on my home entertainment system for over 4 years and it's saved me from multiple brown-outs and surges so my choice was obvious when I needed something for my business. The on thing I wish it had was a way to monitor it remotely over IP, but I can't ask for too much at the price point.

This is perfect for anyone who needs a surge protector and/or battery backup. When using a gaming console and tv, i get around 15-20 minutes of power, allowing time to save and safely turn off. This product provides excellent surge protection, I am not worried about losing my electronics now to a power surge!

This is my second one, original is still running great on another PC...was originally going to spring for a pure sine model this time but the discount Best Buy offered in conjunction with another item made this too good a price to pass up.

I bought this UPS for cable modem, Apple Router and set-top boxes to protect against power blips and purges. It worked great when I had power outage for a couple of hours, providing internet on mobile devices while the whole house was dark.
