good buy for a back up battery to guard against power outages

Highly recommend that everyone gets this as part of their "necessary accessories". Within two days of purchase, had a lightning strike on the house that the surge protector "protected" my Mac, TV and entertainment system from. Best investment you can make to save your devices.

Purchased two of these CyberPower 850VA Battery Back-ups for the following main reasons: 1) Nice size. Many battery back-ups of this power are larger. 2) Ample power outlets. Several of the ones I looked at only had eight outlets but this has ten. Our building has many power surges and some outages. This battery back-up has handled the surges well.

Plenty of outlets that are both battery and surge protected.

So far so good, it has worked well, but I haven't had a power surge or loss of power. Easy to use.

The power went out at my house and the battery backup allowed me ample time to close down my computer without loss of any of my work. also it is slim enough to fit under my desk and out of the way.

This is my second CyberPower as the first one got toasted by lightening and saved my electronics. I went a couple models up on backup power duration and watts on this unit from previous. This unit has enough capacity for my home based business and I also like the new plug styles. It also looks easy to replace the battery.

Purchased this to use on the road as a power bank for some of the drone equipment my company uses. It does a great job at providing power when there is no direct wired connection available, but there are a couple drawbacks. 1) You have to have 8 hours to fully charge the unit. 2) Even being fully charged, it will only power a laptop for 10-25 minutes or so before having to be recharged. If you need something for your house and are planning to use it for the rare circumstance where your power goes out and you need an extra 5 minutes to save your data before your machine shuts down, this is a perfect choice for you. If you need something to take on the road to act as a portable charger, I'd probably go buy a portable power bank from a place like Walmart, which is geared more towards camping. I was just in a pinch and needed something at the time, so I bought this.

Great product. Very reasonably priced. Needed it for a back up for my office computer and it has been a gem. The last one I had lasted about 5 years and worked through several power outages.

Kept my computer safe from a major power surge. Had to push the start button and hold it for 2 seconds to turn on

I'm using this with my AV/Home Theater system and it's perfect to replace a regular power strip (it has a lot of Outlets). It's the perfect size and power for most applications.

Works perfect and you can't beat the price, too. Easy to set up and use right out of the box. It's nice to have this little extra security with my business computer and files.

This product comes with 12 outlets, however only 6 of them feed into the battery for uninterrupted power, the other 6 have surge protection but that's it. I have two computers hooked up to it so I make sure my towers get the uninterrupted power and the screens only need surge protection anyway.

Works as expected with sufficient configuration options. I do recommend doing an advanced configuration to make sure that it is correctly set up. At least for my purposes I had to tweak a setting or two, but it is easy once you figure out how the menu works. Not quite as obvious (at least to me) as it could be.

it's a battery! Let's see how long this one lasts powering my switch and wireless box, last APC was 7 years.
