here is my stance on this popular gaming rig

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the specs are just ok, theyre not the best, for the price i wouldn't argue. you can comstumize it as you like later on. now here is my problem and i cant stress this enough i have never had a problem with best buy until now. i just bought this rig for my cousins boyfriend. he's a techie, and knows some stuff but not all. it wasnt even a week since i bought the rig and it started failing on him.the computer shut off while he was in the middle of a game, he tried to boot it up again and that went sideways since some of his things were erased or had weird coding on them which he hadn't seen before. so he tried to factory reset it and thats where the big problem comes in. the computer started booting and it crashes everytime he logs in and tell him to reboot it again....and again....and again....and again. he got tired and told me if we can bring it to best buy to see if they can help out with it. we brought it in and a geeksquad member helped us out right away (yes we made an appointment). he walked us through about what the problem was and this is where i tripped out. he was charing us 150 to get it fixed in the moment. i said no i was within the 30 day purchase time and i was told if there was ANYTHING completely wrong with it i can bring it in and they'll try to fix it. yes i had asked them if they can help if it arrived broken or we had problems with the software and they said there wasnt any problem with that, and all of a sudden they were charging me??? what was that about?? yess i know about buying the thing extra warranty, almost all the stuff that i have bought from them i have bought insurance. this really got me mad and now we have a pice of trash can thats sitting in his corner. i havent checked up on if he's fixed it or not but this was just a trashy move. SO REMEMBER, everytime you buy something you GOTTA ask what is covered within its time limit otherwise you will pay more out of pocket. i paid 800 for this and they wanted 150 or something like that in less than a week don't buy this thing

would not recommend

Best Buy sent the defective product back and reordered. This time, the product arrived a day before Christmas and I thus took it home to give as a gift. On Christmas day, my son opened another defective computer. It was the only thing he really wanted. I returned it to Best Buy and they reordered a third time. When the computer finally arrived, almost two weeks after Christmas, it did not work, again! I returned the computer for good. Best Buy did not offer any type of compensation for all of the trouble. I will not buy this make ever again and will think twice about using Best Buy as the middle man. It was a very disappointing and frustrating process.

Repair or Return?

From the moment I first turned it on there was an issue with the monitor not coming on without the HDMI cable being in just the right position. I thought it was an issue with the HDMI cable at 1st, but after trying a different monitor with a regular hookup, that didn't turn on either. Once I figured out the touchiness of the graphics card connection I've been able to use the computer. 2 days after I setup the computer I ran into an issue where the computer will randomly restart after about an hour of use. The screen will start to pixelate before restarting. Then after that first restart and log in to Windows, it will pixelate and restart after a couple minutes. On the 3rd or 4th restart the monitor, mouse, and keyboard will not turn on, but the tower is nonetheless running. Tonight I decided to try chatting online with a Geek Squad agent (from a different computer) about the issues I was having, looking for advice, guidance, or a possible diagnosis. I never got any of that. The agent never asked my order details or any specs on the computer I had purchased. I was in the middle of typing a response when the agent sent a quick message saying "Since we won't able to fix the problem, since your computer will just stop working anyway, you should setup an appointment at a store" then abruptly ended the chat. So I'm left with 2 options. First, I could wait 8 days to take this brand new computer into a store and possibly be charged for a repair. Or I could return the computer as defective and order a CyberPowerPC directly from the manufacturer, which by everything I've read, seems to be the better option. By all accounts it would have better components and better customer support. This is my 2nd CyberPowerPC. My 1st was also purchased from Best Buy, but didn't have any serious issues until much later in its' lifespan, so I'm familiar with and really like the brand. I'm just very unhappy with Best Buy with this purchase.

Dont buy this product!!!

Took it home followed the directions and it didnt work. Took it back to best buy geek squad checked it out said it was a bad motherboard. The real problem I have is that they said that they have been having a lot of problems with computers from this company yet best buy still sells a known defective product. Totally UNSAT!!! Best buy had the nerve to ask me if I wanted another one. I choose to have my money refunded and my wife's xmas was ruined.

PC looked great but that’s where it stopped.

The PC was packaged well and looked great out of the box. Once it was hooked up we turned it on and it booted up very fast. The only problem was there was no audio. We tried updating Windows and then called tech support. They sent us new audio drivers and quickly rushed us off the phone before verifying the problem was corrected. We ended up going back to Best Buy for Geek Squad Support but they wanted $150 to fix a new computer that we just bought from them. We ended up returning it since manufacturer was of no help. It didn’t make sense for us to pay to fix a defective new computer.

Gpu blown straight out of box

Never even displayed a screen at all just kept saying hdmi no signal. Even contacted tech support and it wasn’t much of of help. The box was also very dusty as if it had sat in a warehouse for a long time. Hopefully I will get a full refund.

not sure it was a good buy

Worst computer ever

This was the worst purchase I have ever made. Straight from the box the computer didn't work. It didn't connect to any displays I had. I even tried different connecting cables and monitors and nothing worked. It turned on and that was about it. No screen connection or anything FROM THE BOX. Do not purchase they're skimping on parts and trying to up sell it because of the AMD parts.

The computer can be better.

Dont buy broke at 1.5 years

The mother board broke as did the graphics card. so very disappointed that an expensive pc iike this does not last at least 2 or 3 years. the fans dont work well enuf to cool this pc down apparently. trying to find out if anything is still covered under warrenty.

They had us in the first half

So I shut it off and the next day the monitor won’t recognize the PC, so tested it all out every single possible error, connected the monitor to an Xbox, used a different monitor, drained the motherboard battery, used different ram and nothing. I wanted this computer to work but it just doesn’t. Maybe I’m unlucky but I’m going to return this

I would not buy again!

Second one, worked for 3 weeks before it also started showing no signal with no light on the motherboard. Best Buy couldn't ( wouldn't) help and referred me to manufacturer which does not answer the phone or messages. Waste of time and money, could have built my own in the time ive used just trying to get help.
