Thank you for your review. This PC is built for moderate gaming out of the box. And though it does not come with WiFi or an optical drive (the chassis does not support an internal optical drive), it is fully compatible with both external and internal wireless options, as well as external optical drives, since the build does not use any proprietary parts!

We would like to stress that we absolutely respect your opinion and observations. We would also like to respectfully point out that the majority of those who have reviewed the system have found it to be well suited for their needs. These differences are primarily due to what games and other programs any given individual runs on the system.

This brings us to UT99. Sometimes, due to the changes that occur in hardware and software over time, it can actually be more difficult to get a very old program to run on a newer system.

We are surprised that it would not run until you installed a video card. We suspect a driver version compatibility issue, as both the processing and graphics capabilities of the A6-7400K APU – an AMD processor chip with an AMD Radeon R5 graphics chip incorporated – in the system meet or exceed the minimum requirements for UT99, and can be found in compatibility lists for the program.

If you have not yet returned the system, we would humbly ask that you allow us to see if we can assist you, and get the game running and performing more as expected. We firmly believe that should you provide us that opportunity, you would also be very pleased with the reliability of the system. Every computer we build has to pass through a strenuous testing checklist and burn-in period, prior to be packaged for shipment.

While as evidenced by the high rating that the system has at this time (01/26/2018), the vast majority of Electrum owners are pleased, we honestly regret that your experience has not been a satisfactory one.

As to gaming performance, the system as shipped runs many games quite well. However, as with most computers, there are those games that exceed the default capabilities of the machine.

Each game publisher provides minimum system requirements, and often recommended system requirements as well, for their games. It is important to compare those requirements to the specifications of the system, to determine how well it can be expected to run, if at all.

If the system meets the minimum system requirements, then it should run acceptably, but at low settings.

If the system meets or exceeds the recommended system requirements, then it should run very well, even with many features turned on, and at higher settings.

If someone has questions about whether a game will run or not, they are welcome to contact our Friendly Customer Service Team ([email protected], or 855.490.2569), and we will gladly help them.

You are correct, that the system does not have a discrete graphics card. However, one can easily be added if desired. In fact, because the system doesn’t use any proprietary parts, the computer is fully upgradeable, so it can evolve to meet the changing needs of its owner.

And because we feel very strongly that our customers should be in control of the configuration of their CybertronPC system, we take two very important measures:
1) Modifying the system configuration does *not* void the Warranty (1 Year Parts, Lifetime Labor)

2) Even if the system has been modified, for as long as someone owns a CybertronPC system, they can contact our Friendly Customer Service Team, and we will gladly assist them

In addition, there may be specific drivers that could be used, or settings that could be optimized, to improve game performance while maintaining good visuals.

There are also non-system related variables that can affect game performance as well. For example many games have ‘mods’ that can slow the game down, especially if multiples are installed, and if playing online, the internet connection and number of concurrent players can be factors as well.

So, if you would like us to assist you with settings / drivers that may allow the games you are wanting to play run faster and/or with more visual effects turned on, please do not hesitate to contact us.
