Would have been a good computer!

Just to start this review off, my computer arrived broken. It would not display anything. I took it in to geek squad to try to see if they could figure out the issue or at least what part the issue was originating from. I believed that it was the power supply, but that was not the case. To put it being just straight up broken to the side, the components are good in this computer. The value that you get for the price is a good deal and would be difficult to match if you were trying to build it yourself. I wish I could give more of a review, but like I said before the computer had a failure beyond basic repair. I can not in good faith recommend this product even though the hardware and pure statistics of the computer are solid, obviously the quality control is the issue.

      Chuck,

Thank you for choosing CybertronPC! We apologize for the less than satisfactory experience you had.

As you mention, the components and their specifications are solid, and of high quality.

As to quality control being the issue, after being expertly assembled and integrated, each system must pass a very rigorous set of tests and burn-in period, where it must perform without issue, prior to being released to our Quality Assurance team for final approval to be packaged and shipped.

This is not a process we take lightly, as it is one of the foundations of good customer service - preventing issues before they occur.

After passing testing, burn-in, and Quality Assurance, the system is then placed in very robust protective packaging for shipping.

However, as with any physical item, regardless of the brand, model or exceptional quality of a given component, there is always a failure rate, no matter how slight. Sometimes, components fail after final shutdown. This can occur, even when high-quality components, such as you noted, are used.

Other times, the cause of an issue with a new system is an exceptionally rough time during transit. As mentioned above, we use very sturdy packaging materials to protect our systems. No packaging is always 100% effective, though, which can cause cables to become loosened, or components to be damaged. This can even occur when there is no external sign of damage, if the package experiences one or more "flat drops".
This is where the system, in the packaging, is dropped or thrown with significant force, landing flat on one of the six sides.

This does not cause much or any external damage, due to the angle of impact, but the forces are transferred to the contents of the package. The results can be similar to what happens to the contents of a vehicle that comes to a sudden stop from high speed.

Regardless of the reason, please know that if you would have contacted us, we would have gladly helped you. We stand behind each of our systems with a 1 Year Parts / Lifetime Labor Warranty, and Free Lifetime Technical Support.

We hope the above has been helpful, and that you may provide us with another opportunity to show you why CybertronPC has such a good reputation in the industry!
