Our place has a basement and three additional floors in the townhouse. Placed router on first floor and it is a bit better coverage but probably less than I expected for the high price

It was frustrating. I kept calling them for help. Finally a service guy suggested using my own router. I read the reviews on this unit and was impressed. The installation was flawless and took only a couple of minutes. I used the app that they suggested. I have more range than before. I used the Almond range extender for the Wowway router. Didn't need it for this D-link.

Had to disable the SMART feature and eventually connected up my old Lynksys N router to get a stable connection. Wish I hadn't bothered. Sometimes my PC gets a faster connect and sometimes not.

HOWEVER - the router would just shut off every few hours. I would go to sleep and the next day it I was not able to connect to the internet. Said no connection available. I had to push the power button on the ROUTER to OFF and then back to ON. The router did this every day. I'd come home after being away for 10 hours and the router would not be working. Again I had to turn it OFF then back ON. If it did not keep shutting itself off every few hours I would have given it 5 stars because it works beautifully - WHEN it worked! So back it went.

Well guess again, LOL. Returned it for the Netgear Nighthawk X6, definitely recommended.
