This camera is good to get a general view . I used it to see my dogs when I was away. 480 DPI was enough to see what they were doing. Easy to connect and easy to see from my phone.

By small ones I mean my puppies. Its a great camera. Good quality, love the night vision really works like a dream. So easy to use as well. I usually check on them at work or on the go.

This camera was easy to set up and the picture quality is good. You can pan in and out, but cannot rotate. Overall, it is a good camera for a decent price.

These cameras are good for your basic, inexpensive camera. The picture is pretty good, however, the cameras randomly make clicking noises (not good if you are using it as a nanny cam); and the picture randomly switches from color to black and white. Overall it's not a bad camera. It was good in a pinch when we wanted something inexpensive.

Good quality 480 P video and night vision was much better than I expected - once I finally got it set up. Direction out of the box are poor. D-link does make it easy to find their tech support number. Believe it or not you will not the number - or ANY tech support number with the directions. All they provide is an e-mail address. I had to search the web site - called sales then after 2 transfers I finally reached their tech support. Then life was good. Once I reached tech support - getting the camera set up was easy. 5 stars for their tech support personnel - once I was able to connect.

Great camera. Wanted it for home security purposes. Easy to use. Good quality. Love the motion sensor and how easy it was to install.

I needed a inexpensive camera to monitor my sump pump in our basement while we away. So far the Camera is working fine..

This was our first security camera for the home, but when we discovered that the same company had a camera that would pan and tilt for a similar price, we returned it and got the pan/tilt model. Both models seem to have the same picture quality and work even in the dark. The 1150 model had a short power cord. The pan/tilt model had a more acceptable cord length. Set-up required 2 calls to D-Link tech support, but they were very helpful and patient. Afterwards, I bought 4 more cameras and set them up myself with no problems. You can monitor and angle the cameras on a smartphone or iPad, as well as a desktop computer, as long as your home wireless is working. You can have notifications sent to you when the camera detects motion or loud sounds. If you were to use the camera to monitor an outdoor setting, you might want to turn off the motion detection notifications, as just a slight breeze will be detected. My biggest concern is that they do not record when motion is detected, so if you are not actually watching when something happens, you will never know what it detected. But, for the money, this will work.

We have installed this camera at various points around the house - the range is very good. Picture quality is sharp, even the night vision is very clear. We can monitor remotely, never lost wireless connection. The app is easy to use - we use it on an apple device.

This wireless system is a good alternative to expensive call center monitored systems. It enables the viewing via the Internet on your computer, I Pad, I Phone etc in real time of any areas covered with the camera. It also has night time vision so you are able to see what it happening at night as well. The system is modular so additional cameras can be added if desired. The cost is reasonable, the picture quality decent and for someone looking for peace of mind self monitoring of the home this is a good solution

Love the camera. Does everything I need it to do. Especially love the app to view a live feed. Super easy to set up. You can even set the camera to send you an email with images or a small avi clip when it detects motion. Only thing I would change about it is the ability to turn off the infrared lights because you will get a glare in night mode if you have it in behind a window.

Good color and picture and OK sound - solid overall nanny cam Unfortunately, very difficult to record video for when out of house so unless you're watching live, hard to track what's going on in your house. Great optionality for live mobile access via iPhone or your computer though

I am using this camera at a vacation home, it has worked as expected and I am currently using all of its functionality including the automatic motion detection and email notifications with photos. I have also used the wifi extension and it works fine for my intended use. I have this camera set up with my home automation d-link (staples connect) hub, so I can access remotely via the hub or direct through Mydlink app. The only feature that is not currently available through the automation hub is the motion detection (this is a staples connect shortcoming), but it is fully available via the Mydlink application so it is not an issue for me.

Easy to set up good image day or night and fun to use

I'm using this as our second baby monitor after my wife gave birth to our second child. I love the fact that you can view while traveling via an app on your phone. The picture quality is also much better than what we get on the regular baby monitor we bought a few years ago. Our only problem is that there seems to be a 2-3 second delay in the video. Not a huge problem but something to consider for those who are thinkig of using it as a baby monitor. Oh, I'm not sure what people are talking about with the poor night vision. I think the night vision quality is very good compared to our pretty pricey baby monitor.

First time when i downloaded the app, works with my phone. Clear pics especially the night time. Only problem is when i leave home, i can't connect and see what's going on at home. So i have to return it.maybe i am doing it wrong...

This unit was very easy to setup onceI figured out D-link software issues. My camera is aim at a sliding glass door and sometime I get alerts when the sun change positions. I just go on line and watch the camera. I have peace of mine with this camera doing its job. I would recommend this to a friend.

bought to watch what animal was digging holes in my backyard. setup the wifi pretty easily. It was compatible with android easy cam pro software which I used for motion detection and recording. was able to capture both raccoons and cats digging in the back yard at different time overnight.

Worked as promised after some fiddling to get connected to wi-fi. Limitation is that really good light is needed (if auto mode) used, even during the day if you want color images. Email alerts to notify of motion/sound works well. Love ability to take snap shot anytime or when I get an alert.

Purchased this as an open-box item at my local best buy. But was a risk I'm glad I took. Great camera, resolution in both day and night-mode is stellar. Added bonus to have the range extension of my wifi with it as well.
