I had purchased 2 of these cameras as they were on sale. I enjoy that it has almost 360 degree turning and pretty good 720p picture. I don't like that it breaks the videos to 50 MB max (approximately 2 minutes) when saving to an SD card. You would need to manually (via 3rd party app) combine the mp4 videos into a longer one otherwise you will go crazy having to load 30+ clips and searching through them for just an hour of video. It doesn't seem built to be put outside to monitor, which is one of the reasons I wanted it in the first place. So, I returned one and kept one just for use indoors. I saw a 4 camera system with 1 TB recorder for under 300 that is better suited for outdoor use, so let the buyer beware.

The camera has great quality photo, amazing night vision, and direction can be controlled remotely. We've bought more than one after purchasing the first one.

I was skeptical about this camera when I bought my first one. Now I own three. The camera's high-resolution and night vision option along with the great tilt and pan feature and really easy set-up make it a great buy for any application. My only complaint is the app is a little clunky at times, particularly with voice-over-camera. Hopefully the manufacturer will work this out in forthcoming software versions. Otherwise, this is a great camera for anyone regardless of technical experience.

I never thought I would have a use for this until I needed to check in on someone everyday without having to call them. This camera works great except for the few times it has needed a reset but what device doesn't need it every so often. The zoom, pan and tilt works great and I can check it on my phone which makes it super convenient. The picture quality can be adjusted so that it won't eat up your cellular data when you are not on WiFi. Overall no major issues and I would recommend this to anyone who needs to check on someone or something.

I set this up at my front door, gives a great picture. it took me about 10mins to set up. I set it up to sense motion and send me an email when it does. I can access it easily from my smart phone to check what may be going on in the area. pan controls a bit jerky and hard to position at the exact point you want. there is a setting to fine tune this. Its an excellent camera for the price, Highly recommended!

This is a great camera and works very well but was very difficult to set-up. The instructions that come with the camera didn't come close to getting me up and running. After several communications with tech support they finally sent me an email with 11 steps (steps not included with the camera) that got the camera to work wirelessly with my home network. With that being done, I am very happy with this camera.

Really needed tech support for install as setup can be complicated by lack of clarity on settings. But support is great even over holidays. No limit on calls during warranty, never rushed. Quality of images is very good at higher settings (480p+). Need to set
Video recording longer than 1 minute. Still get false positives on motion detect. Get 5-6 false positives per day. Challenging to decide how to set sensitivity.

This IP Camera has very good image quality. The pan and zoom capability is outstanding. The software to set up the motion triggers is quite complicated and requires a number of screen entries to be done before getting. A lot of guess work to get the recording to SD correct and right length. Overall, the Hardware is nice, the software very complex.

Like most electronic Items read the directions. It will save you a lot of time in the long run.
1) Upgrading the firmware must be done one version at a time ( I had the same issue as others reported) although the newest version is suppose to solve that. Never try to upgrade the firmware wirelessly it will brick the unit. It must be done with a Ethernet cable.
2) Lag with any wireless camera and your phones use of the app must be expected. Learn to work with a products limitations.
3) The camera and its features work great as long as you have the proper equipment to support it (Good router, fast internet connection and take the time to set it up).
4) I will probably purchase other Dlink cameras in the future. Will have to see what issues I have in the long run. So far have had the camera up and running solid for a about month and a half without any major issues.

Great Feature Set for Price

DLink Camera's have stood the test of time and I have an old model that's almost 12 years old. This camera has a great picture and feature set. Fully utilizing this camera's capabilities requires someone with a bit of technical savvy. The e-mail notifications can be a bit finicky as well as the motion detection. Otherwise this camera is the best for the price point.

Great IP Camera

This is one of the best IP cameras available at consumer cost level but with pro features. I especially like the mydlink cloud services that allow quick set up and I do not need to have a D-Link router. Image is clear; color is brilliant during day time, and black and white image is high contrast at night. I pair two of these with D-Link DNR-322L for 24x7 continuous video recording. I plan to buy more in the future.

Was an easy set up. Picture quality is decent, even in fairly dark rooms. A night light gives enough light. Much better than The cheaper 5020L. It can pan side to side and up and down, but no zoom. If you have a tight budget, this camera will be good enough.

I purchased this camera mostly because of a great sale price at BestBuy.com. I did in-store pickup and selected this one after comparing most of the major home cameras that are on shelves today. They all have shortcomings and the D-Link is no different...however, this had a feature I was most impressed with: remote tilt/pan. Most of the other cameras out there today are fixed-position. We have a cat who likes to roam, so it's handy to have a high vantage point with the ability to follow the cat remotely. I do wish the setup was a bit easier, however. I don't think an average user could fumble their way through it very easily. The camera has been rock-solid and reliable, though.

The video on this camera has great quality and is very responsive to my gestures in moving the camera angle remotely. I use the Android app to access and control it and it works great. Installing it over my Wi-Fi and accessing it in the beginning wasn't as easy as following the instructions. I don't know what I did, but I got it to work somehow after an hour and haven't had any complaints since.

I have been an expert in buying wifi/IP camera since this is about my fifth different brand and 10th IP camera I have.
This is by far the best wifi camera I own. It is easily accessible via wifi in your network (via the app or your home computer) and it never fail when I view it from outside my network on my cellular phone network (on the app as well). This camera is very reliable. The sound is by far superior to every other cameras I own, It is in my kids' bedroom, however I can even hear the sound in the living room when the door is open.
The video quality is also very good. Would definitely buy it again!
