It took a little bit longer to set up since I wasn't so familar with the process. But since it was set up, it's given me not a single issue.

I specifically asked the best buy rep if the camera would be able to sync/connect to the type of WiFi system.....which he assured me it would....but it didn't...so I had to return the camera..... Unfortunate.....I had hopes that the camera would work.

Ours was difficult to set up, Instruction manual very poor. I would recommend to family & assoc. and I would purchase another one if my needs require the addition of another camera.

Being able to view in multiple resolutions and setting motion sensor to alert you is awesome. The set up was very easy.

But the software to operate it is made for Windows XP and 7, and has a lot of problems with Windows 10. After several frustrating hours on the phone with tech. support, I returned it to the store. I will never buy another Dlink product.

Please note that the DCS-5222L has a higher resolution (720P) than the DCS-5020L. Make sure that in your "Video Settings", the frame size and frame rate is set to its highest possible settings. But note that even though a higher frame rate provides smoother motion for videos, it requires more bandwidth. You also want to confirm that you have downloaded and installed the latest firmware from www.support.dlink.com. Great little camera
