Easy to setup. The App is user friendly and full of features, allowing two-way voice communication and the images are high definition. I have bought 3 and wil buy more. Highly recommend!

I bought this camera to monitor the inside of my house. I am able to move the camera around and look around the room with my iPhone. I use the ethernet connection which is more reliable than wifi. I had problems with just recording video only, I had to set the camera up to record both video and still pictures. Looks like there is a glitch in the firmware.

The Dlink DCS522L is a great security camera. I purchased this device on 5/27/16 and had some issues installing it. It is not user friendly with windows 10 , and internet explorer. I talked to tech support twice once to get it started, and once to get the firmware up date. I have to say after that this camera is great. It has a a pan option ,or you use the arrow to move the camera left to right up or down, it has the wireless feature and you can use an Ipad, or you cell phone to log into the camera, and use the remote controls. You can put an SD mini card right into the camera and record, and play back. it records on motion, or by the hour. It has an audio feature to , still working on that... I highly recommend this camera if your looking into Security..

I recently purchased two of these cameras for my home. I am able to watch them from my smartphone, and laptop. If I choose, I am notified when motion is detected and I can capture images as well. My wife and I can both use them easily. highly recommended

The box says its easy to setup and use and makes it look pretty slick. I have to say its not that easy. Definately a moderate learning curve......you will not likely just plug it in and start using it. I couldn't. WARNING -- DO NOT try to update the firmware via wireless (the unit brand new powered up and prompted me to update when it was connected to wireless...). The first unit bricked itself. And it CANNOT be unbricked by the user. Returned for a second one and this time I canceled the update and installed as is. Now the unit wants me to update it every time I look at it in the app--- irritating. I had to order a second power supply (the first one is installed permanently in the house now) so I can connect the camera directly to the router and try the firmware update again. Had to order that through Dlink directly for $10....cheap but getting to that point was a nightmare. Outsourced call center....that's all I am saying. So I have been running it for a month or so and it is sort of neat. I can spy into my living room and hear what is going on.....with patience pan around the room and such. Lots of neat features but they are cumbersome to get at and some, like the 2 way audio, are not working well at all. DLink tells me the firmware update has to be done before they can address any issues with me. So I am waiting for the power supply to do the firmware update to o see if things improve. The camera response via wireless is slow/delayed. hi rez video bogs things down a bunch so I run it in low rez most of the time. The camera does record video clips to an SD card you provide but accessing it via the camera to view clips is SLOOOOOW. And the website you can use to access the camera if not using the mobile app is very clunky and requires all sorts of hoops to be jumped through. And again, everything runs SLOW. Some users have told me this is "expected" via wireless. I cant get an ethernet cable to the camera to see if that helps....but why should I have to...I bought a WIRELESS camera. I will say that night vision is spectacualr in the house. SO the jury is still out. But this survey popped up now. I will try and update once the power supply/firmware issue is solved. I guess I am pretty much stick with the camera at this point so I will ride it out and see what happens.

Easy to setup, I have three of these cameras and one outdoor Dlink DCS-7010Land all have worked flawlessly. I have a DLink DIR-880L router and use a DLink DNR-326 NVR for recording. All works seamlessly. Highly recommend.

Great camera, clear, easy setup. Only thing when setting up was that I wasn't aware there was a model a and model b so I couldn't connect to the app right away. Once I figured that out setup took 5 mins.

Was a little difficult to set up, even with the help of the tech support. Were issues with the model number not matching the software that came with. Now working out the issues with the sound. Picture is clear and the pan/tilt makes it easy to see all ares.

Fairly easy to set up. Be careful when upgrading the firmware, especially on a wireless connection. Camera has the option to save to SD chip or email motion video. Nice feature. The ability to control the direction and hear sound is great to have

Good camera, good quality images. Have it networked- WiFi is nice, but lots of delay and interference. Some issues w/ connectivity as well. Needs a bit of TLC from the router.

I have one of these cameras setup in a remote location where the WiFi is spotty at best. I'm pleased to say that where a FOSCAM camera failed, this camera has been working perfectly. If WiFi goes down the camera faithfully reconnects when it is once again available. The "MyDlink" service works well. As an added bonus D-Link simply layered the super easy menus on top of the older (but much more advanced) setup menus, so you have the best of both worlds. Picture quality is really good for a lower cost camera.

we had purchased a different camera not realizing it was indoor only. We returned it for this one which seemed to be the only outdoor camera the store had. It does alert us when someone comes to the door but the range isn't as vast as we thought it would be. We will have to purchase a second camera. Also though we can tell who's who out of our regular visitors, we wouldn't be able to see enough detail if a stranger came to the door. It's better than not having one.
