Customers are pleased with the excellent camera quality, ease of use, and the pan and tilt features of the High-Definition Pan and Tilt Wi-Fi Video Security Camera. Many also appreciate the night vision and motion detection capabilities. However, some users experienced difficulties with the setup process and software, while others reported issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and overall reliability. Good picture Good Customer Support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little tricky to set up. The customer service was very helpful. I am not a tech person so there is more you can do with this camera that I don't know of.. Great picture and good free app.

Better than a Foscam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set-up and works every time I pull it up on my iphone (unlike a foscam I had). Also, did not have to do any port forwarding with a comcast modem, but did have to on an ATT U-verse system. Was pretty easy to do (if I can do it, anyone can).

Full featured wifi cam
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The hardware is good, the App is good but a little klunky for some features. But the price for the app and the service, free! I prefer to use the camera OS to interact with the camera directly. The documentation is good but could be more detailed. Over all a good camera and software for the price.

Good camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. I like the ability to control from phone and view the picture from my phone. It is also a nice feature to move it around. Think it's a good addition to security for a home or office.

Easy set up and great views
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This particular D link camera was so easy to use. It is our 2nd one and we set it up to use as a baby camera and continue to use it for the now toddler and home security. The touch controls are slightly difficult to master but manageable.

Cloud Camera Wireless High-Definition Surveillance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave it 3 stars only because I wasn't able to connect it wireless. If your going to have it next to the modem. It works perfect.

Great camera for watching your house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this camera to watch over my house. I can access it on my iPhone while traveling look how my house is looking, while thousands of miles away. The microphone is that loud and you have to turn on the mic to speak and turn it off to listen. The mic is not like a phone but otherwise Great product

Poor Quality Compared to Others
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to work with my NAS at home. I bought it primarily because you can control movement. I took it back because the picture quality just wasn't good. It says it has 720p but I bought another camera (Samsung) and that had 720p as well. The difference was night and day. The picture on this one was waaaay too grainy. I brought it back the next day exchanged it for the Samsung SmartCam HD Pro. That one didn't have movement, but the viewing angle was about the same and the picture was infinitely better.

Great camera for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the D-Link DCS-5222L as my second D-Link camera. Set up was easy and the picture quality is great. I especially like the fact that it takes a micro SD card for storing pictures and videos. This is a great starter device.

Newer "B" version a failure. Stick with older "A".
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the older "A" version of this camera, which works great - picture quality excellent, easy setup, remote access works, and motion detection notification works. I figured the newer "B" version would be better, but boy, was I wrong! 1. MyDlink Web AND mobile phone app will not connect to the new "B". The whole point of this is to have remote access, and that does not even work! Hopefully this will be fixed in the future, but not helpful for those of us using this camera when we are not home and need to remote in. 2. Motion detection does NOT work. I have it set up with the same exact settings as the old "A" version, and, as a test, sat them next to each other. While the "A" version detects motion, "B" version does not, not even when waving a hand right in front of it! I even removed the "A" version just in case of interference, but the "B" still does not detect motion. 3. The video quality on the "A" is much better than "B", especially at night. 4. Viewing area is the same as "A" as in "B". However, compared to the DCS-942L (and other similar models), the 5222L cuts off the top and bottom to make picture 16x9, while the DCS-942L is a 4:3 picture but does NOT cut off the sides (i.e. left and right not cut off), and shows more on top and bottom. 5. "A" version comes with a remote control, but "B" version does not but it does have a better mounting system (adjustable plastic mount vs a metal plate) 6. "B" version does have a better pan/scan - more gradual so you can inch it to the perfect picture; the "A" version jumps up/down more than an inch so only way to get perfect picture is to manually adjust the camera gently. 7. "B" version has more snapshots that can be taken if a motion/event is detected - 3 snapshots before and 7 snapshots after - while on the "A" version you are limited to 3 before and 3 after. Both cameras can be set up to email these to you instantly; however, because I only received emails from the "A" because the "B" was unable to detect any motion, I cannot vouch if "B" version event emails actually works. Attached to this review I attached two snapshots from the "A" version (1280x720). I wish I could attach same samples from "B", but it never sent me any snapshots! Since the motion detection and remote access/viewing does NOT work, I will be returning the "B" version and keeping the older "A" (which a certain other online retailer that starts with an A still has, but it is $10 more at the time of this review due to the "B" version on sale right now at BB). Older "A" version ("HW Ver: A1") = 4 stars out of 5 (only because DLink will not update the firmware on this version). Newer "B" version ("HW Ver: B1") = 1 star out of 5.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good camera for the most part the only thing is trying to set it up was a little of a hassle and when you remote in it takes long to refresh.

HD image
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The clarity of this camera is great. I also like the feature of panning the camera. The sound via the microphone is not consistent. Seems to have a lag. Overall it's a good security camera.
