Nice camera needs firm updates which require it to be wired strange for a wireless outdoor camera

I have 2 of these cameras for the Front and Back of my house. These cameras are great in any weather. They have stuck it out through these bitter temperatures without any issues. Setup is fairly straight forward and the Uptime of the cameras depends on your network connectivity. I have gone over 45 days without any interruptions on at Times!

Nice camera overall (purchased one DCS-2330L and two DCS-2132LB1). Setup is heavily dependent on an internet connection with good bandwidth. I was unsuccessful using the available satellite connection to download the owner's manual, setup wizard and firmware updates. Setup required moving cameras to a temporary location with good bandwidth, downloading the setup software and moving them back to their final home. The mydlink service works well and is a nice feature as well as the provide dyndns account. Attempts to write to FTP server and NAS have been unsuccessful to date. Built in test for FTP and NAS were successful, but no joy on getting video or picture files so currently limited to on-board SD card. Installation/owners manual provided a description of the features versus installation instructions resulting in lots of trial and error to get the cameras operational.

This is the most recent camera added to my collection which dates back to models 5-7 years older. The best one yet. Plenty of options for event/motion capture and a really great HD picture. HD video uses a lot of storage so be sure to get the biggest SD card you can if you choose to use one. There are numerous options for video capture resolution and quality.

Like all Dlink wifi cameras it works great and was easy to set up. I now have 4 I can access easily from anywhere on my app. Only downside is the night vision is fairly limited for an outdoor camera. I have an indoor Dlink with much better night vision...

Easy setup and has a good quality picture, motion sensor is a little tricky to setup versus previous D-Link cameras I've had (the DCS-932L model) but other than works similar to my previous ones.

The camera worked great for awhile then started intermittently shutting down. I don't know the exact cause of this. While it was working I couldn't be happier. I am thinking it was a fluke cause I haven't seen this as a common problem. I brought it back and best buy gave me another with no problems. I love you BestBuy.

This is a good camera with very good definition. I tried to use it inside to monitor outside my front door but at night the indoor lighting messed with the image. You'd have to mount it outside for night time monitoring which will require you to have a plug near by.

Would love this camera if it stayed connected. Daily disconnects is so frustating.

I purchased this camera for our patio and wanted something with at least 720P resolution. In the end, I needed something simple to install, wireless and wired connections and didn't look like a camera that is used to watch a bank. Specifically, this was important to me. The DLink camera was easy to install out of the box, but took a bit to get all of the settings correct. The app was also very new and didn't work well between Windows 8, iOS and Android. I did get all of the systems to work well with the camera as soon as the updated app came out.

Camera has been very good and withstands the elements. I use it at front door.

Great camera with good resolution. In my ideal world it would be easy to power it with batteries. Oh Well

Bought this to monitor around my home. Thus far it does everything as advertised... no complaints.

I'm going to use this with IR LED boosters that I built but by itself it's not bad with the one lone IR LED light in the front.

Camera was alittle hard to set up but got it. great job does a good job good pictures.

My wife and I bought these and they were so simple to install. We have used them for over a month and they work well.

I thought it was pretty good, I returned it though, Not because of it but because I needed more covert

I use these to monitor the back and front of my house. I had some issue with them until I reached firmware version 1.01.06. After that no issues at all. The issue I had was that the camera would not send pictures after the camera would be up for a day or two...it would only send log files. Before the firmware upgrade, I set a camera restart every day.

Overall the camera is decent. Easy enough to connect and set up. DLink severs seem a little slow to initiate but once they do it all seems to work. Once you get it setup give it a few days and it will start to work right.

Does the job quite well. Great night vision and no problems connecting via wifi. The app works great for viewing from my phone and tablet. The mic works a lot better than I thought it would. It hears everything.
