The capacity of this may not be as given in the specifications. But good for a small room. It says portable but you cannot move across the room. I would rather buy a window AC which doesnt occupy any of the space in your room.

Does as advertised, cools and dehumidifies our entier 1000 sq ft apartment. Was easy to set up and is easy to operate.

I usually dont purchase larger items soley because of pride but in this case I had a wake up call and did just that. I firmly believe you get what you pay for. This is not a quiet AC and it did not cool down my average size room much at all. Needless to say, I did return this unit and got another brand at another retailer, which works perfectly and I am satisfied with.

I bought this product for my daughter's room and it works perfectly. My electric bill did go up slightly, I guess it is to be expected.

I purchased this product because I heard it was good for a small room. My room is very small but still takes a long time to cool it down :(

We are very happy knowing our child is comfortable and cool on the hot summer nights. Its worth every penny. I would buy another one if i needed one. Great product!

Still love it! Size does matter & I wish I had a smaller one but it does the job without me having to higher the volume while watching TV in my living room. It sits in my corner and cools me off :)

My main A/C unit broke down in the middle of summer and this unit helped me get by until a new one was installed.

Best buy staff Member help me find the best product that I needs for my room and it was the Banby 8000 BTU Portable Air Condition and it was a great deal.

For such a big unit it doesn't cool very much. I have a small living room (in an old 60's ranch home) so I'm only trying to cool a small area, but unless you're right on top of the unit, you don't feel much cooling. It does take some of the humidity out so you can feel a little more comfortable. BUT, be sure to place a pan under the drain, no matter what mode you are using, as it does drip some.

It is exactly what I needed. It is quiet, it cools quickly and efficiently... It just plains works!

The unit did not perform as I expected. I had a smaller unit from a different brand that produced better cooling results. I needed to place an electric fan near it to disburse and circulate the cold air into the room in order to make it more effective.

I work from home and it was costing far too much to keep the whole house AC operational just for my small office - especially with family moving in and out of the house or leaving the patio doors open. I looked around but could not find a higher spec device for the cost. Set up was simple and the unit runs great keeping my office below 78 degrees all day long. If you are going to install remember to buy some double sided door draught excluder tape or hook and eye fixing to enable to the window section to be left in place instead of having to remove it every time.
