Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the price range, temperature control, and design of the 38-Bottle Wine Cellar. They appreciate that it has two temperature zones for keeping both red and white wines at their ideal temperatures and that it fits well with their kitchen decor. However, some customers have mentioned that it can be noisy and that it is a little tight for the advertised number of bottles.

    Pure Garbage Cooler

This unit is not exactly the finest cooler out there. It is noisy, extremely inefficient and seems to run more than it rests. The temperature settings are not exact, so put a mechanical thermometer to self calibrate the proper temp. In my opinion, look for another wine cooler. The product is bad all around, the customer service is bad for they don't return calls when you leave a voicemail... every time you call, the cost is cheap, but average by the time you buy the warranty from Best Buy, and lastly, the shelf spacing in not adjustable... so only standard bottles will store in this unit. This unit will be replaced within a year due to failure... GUARANTEED. Best Buy should drop this item like a bad habit. I am not and will not recommned this unit to anyone I consider a friend or family member... ever!

I'm just retiring my first Danby wine cooler after 8 years. However, I'm ordering another one today because I liked it so much. I store my beer in there too and it keeps it very cold on the lower shelves. I would definitely recommend this product!

I have had two of these, the first was a gift and the second was a replacement for the gift. In both cases, they stopped holding the temperature after 13 months. Basically if you are looking for something long term, this is not the product. Customer Service with Danby is sub par and/or non existent. Pros, the product looks great! Cons, the product simply does not perform.

Bought this wine cooler in October of 2013 and it is already dead. Everything seems to be functioning but it does not cool any longer. Very disappointed in the quality of this product.

The temperature controls are difficult to use and not accurate. You would be lucky to get 38 baby bottles in the cooler. The shelves are not adjustable. The unit will be returned this week. I should know when you go cheap you get cheap. Spending a coupl of extra bucks would should be worth it.

    Stay away

Similar to the other reviews my unit stopped working after less than one year. It stopped cooling. I called customer service and since I didn't register the product the warranty date was based off the manufacturing date which exceeded the warranty period. They refused to honor their product and offered to send out a tech person which would have cost as much as a new cooler. Horrible customer service to go along with a horrible product. Avoid at all costs!

    Stopped working after 2 years...

unfortunately, the CS rep stated the warranty was 18 months. Started having problems after 1 year. Referred to Danby for service tips and even got a support case opened - never mentioned 18 month time limit. Finally got Sears tech to inspect and diagnosis was freon leak. Cost to repair: $350. Since Danby will not honor their product, I will do my best to dishonor it.

The unit lasted just over a year. We did not look at the temperature every day so we are unsure how long the unit had been out. Six of the bottles of wine turned out to be ruined. Wish I would have seen reviews before purchasing this unit. Buy something else!

Unit started making load noises just after warranty period ended. Appliance repair company costs would have been close to 2/3 of the aquisition cost.
