Geek Squad is great but store associates at Woodbridge Best Buy have a tendency to carry on a conversation with themselves while you are standing there and still have to ask for help. Has happened at check out also. Associates will be talking about personal business while a customer waits to purchase there items. I would recommend Geek Squad but a different Best Buy Store other than Best Buy on Prince William Parkway, Woodbridge Virginia.

I heard a lot of bad talk about the new software program 8.1, because it wasn't friendly to use. I found after you worked with the new commands and found where to find them it wasn't so bad. I'm still not using all the good programs I know it has, but I will before to long. If I can't figure out how to do something I know Best Buy's Geek Squad that I am a member of will be their to help.

I use my computer to help veterans get their benefits by helping them file claims and researching issues that will help them out. If I'm down, I can't help those veterans in getting what they deserve. Best Buy's Geek Squad helped me out immensely with repairs that got me back up and running.

The in-store customer service is great. They answer all my questions. My laptop works well again. Thank you!

brought in two laptops to find out what was wrong with them and wish i'd been told ahead of time that one may not be repairable so i could have made a decision about whether or not to use it as one of 3 covered items in my geek squad coverage - it;s the second time it happened to me, so a contract that initially provided coverage for 3 is now down to one because two of the products i submitted wound up unfixable and must be discarded - i would rather have paid the cost of repairs and left my contract in place to cover my remaining products that will hopefully useable after repair on the laptop that was fixable the work was well done other than a couple minor glitches i was able to remedy on my own without having to call or visit them to overcome - don't even recall now what they were and am happy to have my machine in working order again - short-staffed and waiting on too many people at one time - got lost in the shuffle of that both when bringing it in and when picking it up, first one, without an app't, but no one in line, second, with app't

I bought this to backup files for a computer that had failed. After having the Geek Squad backup all my data files on this drive I can't believe the amount of unused space still available. This is the perfect companion for my personal and business use and is small enough to fit easily in the laptop case with my 2 in 1 computer on the road..

When my laptop needed work done this service was a life saver! By helping me with a backup of my files the Geek Squad relieved my fears of losing all of my photos, school work and other documents. Yes, I could have done this at home before taking it in, but it was nice to have it done by Professionals, plus I didn't have an external at the time.

I am happy with the data transfer....I wish all the data could have been transfered but understand why some programs could not. I found after the fact that my printer cannot be used with the new IMac because Canon did not choose to support the old printer with the new IMac so I had to purchase a new printer as well, bummer.

My Passport Ultra has been backing up my desktop for the past year - automatically and real-time. When my desk top operating system became corrupted and had to be wiped and completely reloaded, all my C-drive files, photos, etc. were saved and able to be reloaded. Minimized the pain and inconvenience of new operating system reload.

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and the Geek Squad protection service and have never been happier. When my laptop has needed service or I have created a problem, the computer has performed well and the Geek Squad are the best!! I know my laptop and its care are in the best care possible. I was experiencing problems with my computer after a windows update. It didn’t want to connect to the internet. So I called geek squad. They had to reboot the whole system and did a much needed data backup in the process. As always they were friendly and helpful and I was in and out within 20min.

Get great service from Geek Squad. On the telephone, on line or as in this case at my home/office always understand my problem and take care of it. Don't know if this inquiry is about last home visit which I pay extra for or a telephone fix up which is at no additional charge. I have had a GeekSquad contract for several years, and the service speed and efficiency has improved markedly over the last year or so. Geek Squad's competent technicians have not disappointed me. They do quick, thorough, and efficient work in getting my laptop back up and running smoothly whenever I experience that once-a-year need to rely on the experts.

After my computer crashed and couldn't be fixed, I requested that my data be recovered from the hard drive. The recovery by the Geek Squad was quick and complete. I have the backup on a recommended external drive, and have since copied that data to a new computer I had purchased from Best Buy. Thanks, Geek Squad members.

The agents knew exactly what to look for while transferring my data from one device to a new external hard drive. I brought in a computer that would not turn on, and they ended up having to run the transfer twice due to everything not transferring twice. Definitely plan on doing this again with a different computer (that also won't turn on)!

My hard drive malfunctioned (died). Initially, they were able to get about 15% of the data from the hard drive. The Geek Squad told me about the advanced data recovery. We had them send it for that. The >96% of my data was retrieved. I was completed in less time and for a lower cost than the estimate. Good Job!

I feel like Best Buy always takes good care of me when I bring my computers to them. However, I was not aware that you could make appointments with geek squad. When I came in I kept having people step in front of me that had appointments. No one ever offered to let me make an appointment and I do a lot of business with best buy. Take away point...Great Work, but make an appointment.

Was looking for a camera for my daughter who is going to Zambia for 2 weeks and wants to be able to take lots of pictures of "better quality than a smart phone would deliver"... I wanted her to have one, but didn't think she needed one used by professionals or that could do a hundred tricks..simple, easy to use, good quality with a zoom. Got it.

My motherboard went out on my 6 year old computer and I needed a new laptop up and running urgently. I found the one I wanted, but had to order it online. I was able to get it back from Geek Squad within 24 hours of dropping it off for data transfer. Thank you Geek Squad for getting me back online!

My computer got hit by lightning. I took my computer to geek squad had my data backed up on a hard drive and then put back on my repaired computer. I trusted geek squad to get a good hard drive make the repairs and then transfer the data back onto my computer. So is the hard drive good? I trust geek squad!
