it was at the Christmas week and the shop was very busy and lot to ship. the drive crashed and had to have the recover it and place on a external hard drive as well. this saved the best time of the year for the shop. still hit all the store sales profit margins and did not lose a sale due to the fast work in getting me back up.

Hi, OK no complaints with the Geek Squad service, other than I wish they could have recovered more of my data. The store rep who sold me the new laptop made me feel like I was interrupting him from something more important. There were 3 reps standing around a laptop for the whole 10 minutes I was looking, never offering to help, had to ask.

The tech who took in my laptop for repair was friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain what was going on with my laptop. Unfortunately, when I came back to pick up my laptop the tech who gave me the repaired laptop was the opposite. He could not be bothered to answer any questions, not helpful at all.

Very happy with this item. My previous computer quit working and I couldn't access all of my documents, or anything on the hard drive. So I took the hard drive to the Geek Squad and they told me about this and transferred everything from the hard drive of the old computer onto the external hard drive. Saved the day for me.

My Passport external hard-drive was long overdue. I was having issues with my laptop which included a hard-drive failure, and the Passport was the perfect answer. All my pictures and apps were saved! Many thanks to the Geek Squad team for their hard work in saving and restoring my files.

The drive is not a "just plug it in and swipe your files in" kinda thing - for this user. Perhaps a more tech-savvy individual, such as the Geek Squad member who described it, could remember we are not all as conversant as he..... but back to the drive. . . once I got the hang of it, it was o.k. with no experience with which to compare, I am leaving it at "o.k.".

My business computer went up but with the Geek Squad we were able to back everything up and I didn't loose a thing. The one thing I like is that I didn't have to pull everything back into my computer that was out of date it stays on portable hard drive and I can pull things as I need them.

The Geek Squad saved the data thought to be lost when my all in one computer started smoldering on the motherboard. They captured all the data (photos, documents, etc..) on a WD Passport. I am backing up regularly now, but will go to the Geek Squad before anyone else when I need computer services.

The Geek Squad is amazing and what I thought would be time consuming wasn't when put in their hands. They recommended a great hard drive and when all was done I am more than pleased with the knowledge and expertise of the Geek Squad and the quality of the merchandise sold at Best Buy.

The Nikon D5200 is a great camera. The ergonomics make feel like an extension of my hand, and it comes with a cable you can plug into a laptop so you can see what your shot looks like full size, instead of getting a nasty surprise while editing. I would recommend this to anybody who wanted to start shoot seriously.

My son's laptop needed repair. He is a student at Indianan Tech and needed his computer repaired quickly so he could stay caught up with assignments. Geek Squad did an excellent job with keeping us notified of the status of the repair and his computer is now working great.

My poor little laptop broke that I've had for 9 years they were able to retrieve all my data from it. I wanted them to fix it, but they gave me the cold hard truth, it's not worth fixing, :( I'm glad I have my data of course, still mourning the loss of my pink lap top. LOL! IKR?!

Austin F and Greg, who is in the computer department, were terrific in helping me come to a FINAL resolution regarding my computer. They are extremely knowledgeable in their fields!! They should get a raise and lots of recognition......Best Buy is fortunate to have them as employees!

One of the guys in the Geek Squad suggested I backup my files from my MacBook onto an external hard drive. I purchased the one suggested (inexpensive) and asked them to complete the transfer for me. It held all files and I still have room for future files. Thanks Geek Squad!

My daughter's lap top had water damage and needed data transferred to a hard drive. The Geek Squad member gave very thorough and candid advice and efficient service. His information saved me money and gained my loyalty for Best Buy as a service provider. All data was transferred in a complete and timely manner.

Always wise to have computer data backed-up before having any work done. When a problem was found in my hard drive, I would have lost everything if the data hadn't been backed up on an external drive. Good reminder and grateful to the Geek Squad staff for suggesting it.

When I took my computer in to the Gerk Squad they determined it wasn’t worth fixing as it was an older computer. They helped me with buying an external hard drive and then switched everything from my defunct computer’s hard drive to the external hard drive.

I loved working with the Geek Squad. Great people, great service. The fact you can track online what they are doing it's excellent so you don't have to worry if someone is already working on your device or if it is sitting on the shelf. The service was completed at the time they said it would be.

When a virus struck my hard drive, I initially thought I would lose all my stored data. However, the Best Buy technician was able to re-install all my data saving me tons of time and energy trying to recapture all my data. The technician resolved all my problems and I now have an external H/D for my backups.
