Good follow-up to the first one. A little difficult to go back and complete some of the side missions but overall a good game

I loved the first dead island, and I was excited for this one. The game does not disappoint. Picks up right where the last one left off. You can import your character from the first one too. If your a fan than this game is for you

Great game play, wide open levels with lots of weapons.

I've played through the first dead island (I'd reccomend that to anyone who wants to play this game) which I actually enjoyed. The game picks up where the first one left off where you left the island of Banoi with the same characters that escaped on the helicopter. One of the main differences with this game is the ability to do a diving attack on an emeny that is standing below you (very useful skill), also doing missions for the other surviving members from the first game is also an option. In the event if you don't feel the need to max out your stats (or what you can) on the skill tree you can work on things like shooting, two handed combat and I believe the third was defensive skills/survival. The game does have it's issues, for example when the characters talk, their lips don't quite match up as well as some of the close up cutscenes seem block like or a game that was made in the early stages of the ps3. Other than that it's a very solid game to follow up the first one, and the ending clearly leads up to a third dead island. I'm not a big fan of the star system, but 4/5 stars seems like a good rating (7/10).

It's no call of duty but it's an ok game for the price

If you've played the original then you know what you are getting yourself in to. Addictive game play with a loot system similar to Borderlands. The game is a little shorter than the original but the title itself isn't full priced. I like that they added new content to allow for more replayability, especially with multiplayer. The locales are a little more diverse and the shifting weather is a nice addition.

I love the first Dead Island and we have just started RipTide. It is good, but I am still getting used to the different "atmosphere."

I feel like this game should have been an add-on bc the story line was short. I wish they could add more to this game. One thing that I do like is that a player can import their character from dead island.

If you liked the first one you will like this one. I enjoyed Dead Island so much, that I had to get Riptide. I was not let down. Very fun stuff!

It was a birthday gift for my nephew. He absolutely loves it!!!

This game is just as fun as the first, standard challenges for quests. But it's shorter than the first, it's not Dead Island 2, its more of 1.5, the next one will be out with the new consoles.

I purchased this game for my son for hi 12th birthday and he loved it!

Great gameplay...The story is awesome, the different locations are great...it's like controlling a character in a movie....you can run and hide, or stand up and kill zombies....

I think this game is great never had played it before and it really keeps you on the edge of your seat very much recommended. Especially the cool collectors steel case is awesome.

if you like dead island 1, this is like d.i. 1.5. theres too much picking up parts & equipment so its best if you avoid most of that or just hammer x or whatever & pick it up & dont really bother seeing what your getting. the slicing weapons like swords are much better than any blunt objects and once u get guns, especially shotguns you would really never need to use anything else unless you just want to for variety. its a fun game and isnt stressful like online cod, so for $50 if you like dead island its worth getting this game too. it took me 30 hours to beat it and that was with doing almost all side missions.

Dead Island Riptide is an overall cool game. Buy it and you wont regret it !

Excellent game for those that play only occasionally. Controls aren't too difficult to master and plenty of trophies to earn.
