Even for non anime watchers this is one of the best shows to ever come out of japan to the point it has had 3 spinoff movies in japan and 1 more spinoff made in united states based off this series

The ideas behind this anime are just genius. The intricacy of how the story unfolds makes you think the author has really thought it through. A really well thought out mystery anime.

This makes watching the complete Death Note series a piece of cake. This collection brings the complete series to you in one box and even adds in extras for a little extra value.

I love the series in the books and the show, it is such a great show. I'm not a huge fan of anime, but this is really worth it.

Great story, this complete collection is a great deal, just try not to get to invested in some of the main characters.

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter who loves the Death Note series and watches it on Netflix. Having it all in one DVD collection will thrill her to no end when her birthday comes around soon. I've seen it and enjoy sharing watching it with her. Some may not find it appropriate for young tweens, but she's mature. If you like Mature, but not overly violent Manga with an interesting plot. Try this. You'll probably like it. If you like Death Note. Finding it this cheaply all in one place is Fantastic!

If you've read the original manga (and if you haven't, you should) you'll enjoy this animated adaptation over any live-action film that tries to cram what's good about the story into two hours. This better captures the machinations of both Light and L as one tries to outsmart the other and better reflects the side characters and successors who finish the story.
