The Dolby Atmos 4k version is worth the purchase. The sound effects and the fact that this was a true event make for watching this movie more worth the while.

Sometime movies are needed to know the reality of the world we live in. This movie tells the harsh life of the oil industry. It is so easy to pump the gas in car and ask for cheap prices, but by looking at the life of the people who drain it from earth truly needs more than a thank you for those who serve us.

Based on the true story of the worst BP oil spill/disaster of all time and those poor souls who lost their lives due to corporate negligence...a must see

I hadn't realized what happens out an oil rig begore. Never stopped to think about it. Out of 128 workers on the rig, 11 died. So, there is a lot of fact-based testimony this movie was created from. As I watched, I couldn't imagine all the planning that went into all the developing disaster scenes.

I had read the reviews on the 4k disc ahead of time. And they we're on point. The audio during the action scenes had objects flying around and the water ,oh man it's shooting up everywhere and then the fires were awesome sounding too. It's a great movie based on true events. Worth watching.

I have family members who have worked on oil rigs so I thought I would add this to my 4k blu ray collection to see what life on a drill platform was like. It is a great story of what they go through and life on the rig. Great acting and story. Glad I picked it up at Best Buy.

swift and suspenseful action movie, full of noise, peril, muck and fire. It’s also a true-crime story, the highly detailed procedural chronicle of how, on April 20, 2010, 11 people were killed and a vast marine ecosystem was despoiled because of negligence and greed.

We enjoyed this movie on our home 80" 4K screen. Lots of action and the story wasn't too slanted. Wish someone with actual real world experience was in charge of depicting the 'reason' for the blow-up, but outside of that it was good. Liked the cameos at the end of the actual people involved.

Mark Wahlberg outs out another gutsy performance as Mike Williams. I'm sure there is some producer & director creativity in this but all in all this was a well done movie. It should be included in your Wahlberg collection. 4K brings the cinematography and sound to a new level.

This movie deservedly was nominated for sound. The Dolby Atmos tests the limits of your system. The resolution is so vivid it blows away the Blu-ray. The extra "Fury of the Rig" is so informative and entertaining. This is the demo 4K disc to show off your system!

A great film in dedication to a real life tragedy. Describing and the use of visual effects let you know what happened. The Dolby Atmos track is outstanding and worth the price of the disc alone. The 4K video is exceptional!

Always have enjoyed Mark Wahlberg Movies and this one is no different. Good Movie, Good Story Line and lots of action a effects. Watching it on $K makes it even better so if you don't have a 4K Blu-Ray Player yet to go with your 4K TV, BUY ONE because they are well worth the price.

Great movie. I love movies that are based off true events, and this definitely was not a let down. Great action and effects, but truly lets you know what's involved out there, how dangerous it is, and what steps they HAVE to follow to ensure they're safety, and our wildlife.

My favorite part of black Driday is the good sales they have on DVD movies and also newer mo use they came out quick on DVD. I purchased 7 DVD movies from $7-$9 dollars.

This is one of the really good stories relating to how people overcome the worst conditions to take care of others. Screen color, action, and acting were first rate. One of my favorite movies of the year! How these men and women survived is nothing short of a miracle!

As an oilfield worker this film presents a good depiction. It isn’t accurate of the actual work that goes on, but it does a great job of showing how difficult and heart wrenching that whole catastrophe encompassed. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

This was a great action movie. The first 15 minutes or so moved slowly and could have been cut back. While we know things are factionalized to some degree, the procedural action from the enormous heliport to the rescue was excellent with the story line building in intensity. An excellent 4k HDR presentation also heightened the later action scenes. Sound really helped defined the disaster sequences.

The cause and events that led to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon explosion is chronicled in this movie. It goes though the timeline of events that lead to the loss of life and the heroic efforts of the men and woman who lived thought these events and how they suvived.

If you are a fan of "based on a true story" disaster films, this one is a good one! We enjoyed watching this in theaters and now in 4K. Good picture and sound!

This is a great movie about a huge oil spill down in the gulf that could have possibly been prevented if they would have just followed all the protocols that the were supposed to and not have been so worried about lining their pockets with money.
