Love this true story, great special effects, good family movies though it does have one short non-explicit non-reveiling sex scene.

I worked on offshore rigs before so I can appreciate all the tiny details this movie has gone to in reenacting this disaster from start to full blowout. Over the years I have accumulated all kinds of piece of information about this incident from all different sources official and grapevine, from what I can tell, this movie is quite accurate in establishing the event sequence and pointing to the all human errors and process/system malfunctions that all failed to respond on time as designed or per protocol in times of emergency. There are details that are, however, dramatized to some extend to show the laymen audience what happened, like the gas bubbles emerging from seabed near the subsea wellhead when the mother nature was about to release her immense power in terms of black gold gushing through the well and subsea riser to the platform. I had to say this movie was not meant to be an documentary film that attempts to investigate what happened and what caused the incidents, instead, it focuses on the people, the trans-ocean rig workers and BP company man whose fate are entwined together in this fateful night, their lives, their family and their emotions, each of them a living soul, dedicated to each other in times of trouble, and how they helped each other fighting their way through fire and reaching the lifeboat, and I would say it did a very job in accomplishing so.

Truly love Blu Ray movies! Beautiful color for viewing. This was an awesome performance by all actors. True story. Highly recommend.

You made find real histories in movies, but when you read about it, you see that in the movie is different, this one is what is happen with BP oil company, very tragic, and horrific of what showing, there is reality 100%.

Any other great movie staring Mark Wahlberg. Fantastic sound and amazing vison brings this true story to life, especially in 4K!

I really enjoyed this movie. Once the action kicks off it gets really good. Can't go wrong with a Mark Wahlberg movie.

The movie is one that I would very much recommend seeing if you've never seen it before, but I do have to confess that for me it falls in the category of films that I feel might only need to be watched once

The producers got it right down to the company names that were involved in it. Great acting, loved the movie.

I would say that this movie is definitely worth a watch and if you have the chance to buy it go ahead and do so if you aren't sure what you want to view on your movie night later.

Deepwater Horizon is awesome and heart breaking movie and must see! I remember hearing about this event back in April 2010. To be honest up to I heard this movie would come out I forgot about this event. Seeing this movie gave me a better respect for those men and women that put their lives in possible danger to work on oil rigs. After seeing this movie I believe TransOcean deep sea drilling company was not responsible for what happened. BP cut corners, ignored great advice from TransOcean directors about the well being bad and more tests where needed before caping the well. Seeing the names and pictures of all the men who dead on Deepwater Horizon at the end of the movie was heart breaking and sad. I'm glad the director did this and he told a great accurate story in one of the best movies of 2016 period. The effects and sounds are awesome. I saw this film in IMAX 2D and was shaking a little after the film was over. The blu-ray is good turn up your sound and watch film on a great HD T.V. Overall this film will make you Google oil rig disasters and watch Youtube videos of what all happened on Deepwater Horizon on other oil rig disasters.

This movie had it all. The action was top notch and a great emotional bond between the main characters.

Each time I watched this movie I found things I had missed the time before. Mark is a great actor!

Makes you think about how it was to be in a situation where the odds are against you and you prevail
