I’ve had this installed at my small retail business for over two years now. It was fairly easy to setup and once setup you can forget about it until needed. I’ve had to use it a couple times after a break in and it provides decent quality video but it could be better. Don’t expect to see any detailed features of criminals using this camera system, at best you can get rough descriptions of person and clothing, etc. Also I should mention that the night vision is barely useful at all. The free app to remotely view works great and is free to use, so that is a nice feature. Next time I’m in the market I will definitely spend a little more and get a system with better picture quality.

Cameras look nice, easy install, look great on monitor. App is a little less user friendly but for the sale price- totally worth it

Great pictures, cameras look nice and easy to install. The app could be more user friendly but not difficult. Looks good on both phone and computer screen.

Worked fine after initial setup. But, after powering the system down, I couldn't get it to work when I turned it back on due to password problem. It is useless without tech help to get it working again.

These cameras are so clear. I have 8 cameras around and more disappointed by sales person not knowing products they sell.

Been wanting a security system. This one limited to 4 cameras but does have large hard drive. Had some issues setting up and want happy that Defender didn't have a tech line. They did have a chat support that did fix my issue pretty quickly. Is working well now. Screws they send for the cameras to mount are junk. But great system for the price!

Have not installed yet but I did test it. Seems to work well.

This system has easy to follow instructions and was easy to install. I would prefer a little more expandability. But for the price it works well.

I am comfortable for the buy of this cameras, they are great and it is a safe environment that I am creating

Just what I need easy installation the best price !

First, it says an owners manual is included. this is simply NOT true. they direct you to their website, which is poorly laid out, and hard to find what you're looking for. after several hours, i finally got the DVR to connect to my laptop.... still no picture on my cell phone, or TV... customer support is another problem. they repeatedly tell you to use their website, which is dysfunctional at best... I finally got a phone number out of them...(which closes at 2 p.m. PDT.). I spent over an hour with the representative. During this time, i changed my password numerous times. Any claim that this product is "easy" to install has obviously never gone thru the hassle i did... Best buy says it is weather resistant, yet the installation instructions says they don't recommend installing in the elements? (Not very good for a $300.00 security camera..) The WIRED usb mouse has a short cord, and you can't substitute your wireless mouse as it is incompatible. Further The dvr logs itself out numerous times during the day. there is no way to disable this useless function. Now all i have to figure out is where to mount it. where it is not outside in the rain. I can't recommend anyone buying this, unless you are very tech savy, and have the patience of an angel..

It is a really nice set up and makes you feel a lot safer. I like how you can use them indoor and outdoor

On sale this is a great little set up easy to install everything you need to just keep track of things

Decent visibility for what it is. Nice that the "hub" comes with a 1TB drive. Cameras are decent and cables were long enough for what I needed them for. Got it on a Deal of the Day. Wouldn't have paid full price, though.

This is my first time using surveillance cameras. Easy to install.
