If you are looking for a cross between Borderlands 2 and Earth Defense Force with a lot of customization to boot, you've found the right game. The good: tons of weapons, lots of customization, an in-app purchase system that is helpful but not required and truly massive multiplayer scenarios. I have had at least 60-70 players and creatures with explosions and particle effects with no lag. The bad: there are still a few bugs in the game. There will be pop-in from time to time, sometimes the game has a bit of lag where you try to pick up items and it takes 3-5 seconds to do so. There are a few quests that are very difficult and somewhat frustrating, but even those are optional unless you want to complete everything in the area. Overall, I play this game 4-6 days a week for at least 2-3 hours a day and am not bored. Playing with friends is even better. The main story so far is entertaining and passable. Not Mass Effect quality, but not dull either.

Great game. I love the show and bought the game on a whim. I am new to the MMO world as I usually play 1st person shooters. Its easy to learn to play. It is a great game if you have friends playing it too. The game does get very repetitive in my opinion. The story is worth a run through. Remember its an online only game.

Fun game to play alone of with friends.. Issues with the server are getting better as new patches are released but that is to be expected with such a massive online multiplayer game..

Defiance is great. Don't really watch the show but it hasn't mattered yet. I love that friends can jump back and help me with a mission they've already done and vice versa. Only real problem is that it has to run a patch every single time I start playing. Most are only a few minutes but some take almost a half hour. Makes up for it once you start playing, though. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the open world style of game.

This game offers a new experience as a massive multiplayer online game. After completing the tutorial you can go on exploring the map and are free to try out most of what this game has to offer. Downside is you have to be connected to Xbox live in order to play and cannot be played offline and all co-op maps are unlocked after you have an Ego rating of 500. There are also glitches that can occur and it might take a while to fully understand everything such as loadouts, ego progression, pursuits, contracts, etc.

Defiance is a solid MMO shooter, heavily influenced by the Borderlands series either directly or indirectly lots of the modeling will be familiar to those who have played it. There are a wide variety of guns from revolvers to homing rocket launchers and everything in between. The game was designed for encounters to be tackled by multiple players as it is an MMO, however some scaling seems necessary as some of them can be very difficult if not nearly impossible if solo. The events (Arkfalls) are quite good and Trion are one of the few who implement such things in their games, these bring several players together who are in the vicinity to fight together for a common goal and reward. Each player gets their own loot so you don't have to worry about trying to divvy items up. The downfall so far for me is there isn't really any sort of progression system. You earn EGO rating by "leveling" up however there is no health/stamina gain or improved weapons. A gun you get at EGO 50 is the same gun you get at EGO 500. This was done my guess to balance the game for multiplayer PVP. The enemies do seem to scale up, but player power does not seem to follow. EGO points are earned and you use them on a combined skill tree but the % gains do not seem to equate out to much even after obtaining 40 of these points. All and all a solid game worth a pick up if you enjoy Borderlands style gameplay and want it on an MMO level.

Great game with excellent graphics and story line that coincides with the syfy tv series of the same title. Trion is fast at sending updates when they become necessary. I beta tested the game and it is every bit as good as I expected it to be.

Got the game at a real good price and it is the type of game my son and his friends like to play. Unfortunetly, he is the only one who has it. They do most of their game play on line, so he only seems to play it when none of his friends are on line.

I've played the Xbox Beta, and have been playing Defiance since release for the Xbox 360. That first week was pretty bad, but you have to understand that a new MMO on the 360 console you should expect flaws.Since then, Trion, the developers, have worked their behinds off to make this a great game that many gamers were hoping for. They keep us up to date letting everyone know what problems they are encountering. They make no excuses, they admit in their own blog the trouble they have and what they are doing to fix it. Guess what I'm trying to praise is the fact that this developer is unlike alot of developers they just dont take your $65 and leave you with a broken game! The game itself I have not stopped playing since launch, and since launch it has improved soooooo much!! The Co-Op missions are so funny to do with friends in a party of 4, or if you have a clan you can all meet together and just roll as a HUGE party and just have a great time gaming. If your by yourself, it can be very tough at times, but nothing that would make you throw your controller at the TV. The game has tons of replay value. The loot drops are awesome!! I would highly recommend this game, it's also free to play, meaning there is no subscription cost like some PC MMOs. and dont forget this is a game that co exists along side of a tv show, dont make the mistake thinking this is a game based on a tv show, those games never work! But this runs alongside the tv which brings new content to the game each week

Good game with lots of potential. Glad to see that the manufacturer is making patches on a regular basis to where the game is seamless in gameplay.

If you like playing with ALOT of friends, it's Great....however didn't enjoy it that much to play alone. The other downside to the game is having to install it, which eats up ALOT of memory.

This game is a decent third person shooter with a huge world...sometimes it seems too big but the beginning is really fun! After awhile the enemies do become a little too powerful.

Overall this game is great!. The story is good. The graphics and audio are excellent. It's a game the whole family can enjoy.

Fun game to play just wish I would have got it on the PC instead of Xbox looks better and plays better on PC but might get better later on after some updates!

I don't play it, saw the grandson. It looked great but you expect that from Xbox. All who've played it, liked it so that's good enough for me.

Defiance... what can be said? Great game, fun and interactive. If you are a fan of TV series, you'll love this game!

I love a game with some new ideas and this one delivered!

This is my 1st MMO of any sort to play. I really dig the game. It hours of addiction gameplay each time I play. I get to easly play with my friends in different cities and states. Pretty decent story, and a great multiplayer platform with multiple playing options. Until Destiny is released this is my game to play.
