I will admit I got caught up in the hype surrounding this game and show. Let's get this review started: Graphics - Reminds me of late Xbox/early Xbox 360 games. To be honest, this is not what makes this a horrible game. If the gameplay was great graphics really would not be an issue as it is supposed to be a MMO. Storyline - This is really the part that kills me. I feel that there is so much room for improvement on the story here. There is a very small introduction into the game and it never really goes into the background of how you got to where you are. Even if this game is supposed to be played alongside the show, there should still be a better introduction into the Defiance Universe. Gameplay - I am not seeing anything revolutionary here. They don't even seem to get the 3rd person shooter angle down very well. Gears of War is a perfect example of a good job of that. Grenades are on a recharge system instead of pickup like ammo. Most games start you off in a small tutorial zone to get your feet wet. There is a tutorial zone with Defiance, however it is terrible. It basically drops you into a war zone with little to no training on how combat works. Audio - This is really the only positive thing about this game. Soundtrack should make be a good purchase. Overall I feel this game will go the way of Shadowrun and may not even be as good a game as that. If Trion can not fix their issues with the servers then this game will see a steep decline in players. I beg you to stay away from this game as it is not even close to being worth $60. I am an avid MMO player so I have some experience in what this game should be like.

The main story line is nothing to remember. The game play itself is fun, but then tends to get repetitive. Had more fun playing similar type games that involve open world, side missions and lots of guns (Borderlands, Fallout series, for example.)

Great online multiplayer. You watch other people playing online while your doing your campaign missions.

The game will have your attention for hours. Great to play alone or in a group!!

I was skeptical at first but with the new patch game runs much smoother!

Constant server downs and lag, plus the pc version is a lot better looking with less issues

This game seemed good but the graphics and driving mechanics, along with the menu system are extremely primitive and nowhere near how something at the end of this console generation should be. The variety of things to do is okay and playing with others is good but the graphics are a huge flaw and comparable to gamecube graphics or worse.
