This Is the best center channel! Not too much base as we have a glass stand the sub runs bypass but still adds rich tones.

Great sound. Matched this with the bp9060 towers. Wouldn't think a sub in the center channel would sound so good.

I initially purchased the cs9040 but upgraded to the cs9060. It had a powered sub for more range that is noticeable with movies with a lot of dialog. I'm running it from a denon x4500h. Next purchase will be the 9060 towers to match because this center channel will over run any lower model speaker. Can't wait until my system is complete. It's expensive but when it's complete I'll have no need to upgrade.

This is a really good center speaker which made me go with the higher end CS-9080. The CS-9080 not only has a subwoofer but a bass radiant speaker as well. This one is still a good choice though, the sound is clear.

I wanted to replace my home theater speakers and chose the Def Tech BP series. This center speaker is very clear and because it has a sub woofer built in it adds some additional low frequency response separate of the main sub. I think most center speakers lack that lower mid range and this speaker has it covered. It nicely matches the BP9060s for tonal balance and I highly recommend getting this center if you are planning on buying the towers.

Love this speaker. It replaces a JBL center channel speaker. It’s a bit pricey, but certainly worth it.

Dat fire mon, big ups, massive boi! Lotsa bass, sounds clear too.

Great addition, great sound. Due to the size I have to redo my layout, did not realize how big it was. Worth the extra work though.

Would buy again! Great range low, mid and high tones. Built in powered sub also has some oomph.

I own center channel with two 9060 tower speakers. The plan is to eventually add rear speakers to make it 5.1. already the music is very satisfactory in its quality. It's obviously better than bose soundtouch 130 in my living room which is no surprise, but is also better than burmeister speakers of my car.

This speaker is a monster. Great sound and bass thanks to the built in amp and bass radiotor! Looks great too!

I bought this to replace my Definitive Tech C/L/R 2500, which after 10 years, the Amp bit the dust. This one was the most compreable. Was surprised that the footprint was smaller. The voices seem to be more clear than my old one. Overall very pleased.

I initially got this to try to replace a normal subwoofer. Immediately, I was blowing this out since it kept shutting off. So that plan didn't turn out. In terms of bass, I was again blowing it out when it was paired with a Supercube 2000. I then realized I didn't read the instructions and connected the LFE cable. Once I disconnected that cable, I no longer blew it out. For vocals, it is an excellent center speaker. However, I compared it right next to the CS9040. While this could output a little more bass, I just couldn't justify the price increase. Still, it is a great unit and it pairs nicely with the DI 8R ceiling speakers and the Supercube 2000.

I have moderate service related hearing loss. I've been using a sound bar for my TV for a few years and still either can't hear or have to turn it up so loud its obnoxious to others. I used this speaker for my front sound coupled with a Yamaha receiver and other Definitive Technology speakers. Sounds is crystal clear and full without being obnoxious. I wish I hadn't waited so long to do it!

I had a similar model that I needed to replace. I love this center speaker. Excellent sound - nicer range of sound than the older model. One small difference is my old speaker had no "on" light to tell me it was running. Some TV shows or streaming don't have the range for a center speaker. This new model as a letter "D" that lights up when in use.

I bought a one of these to upgrade my existing center channel in my home theater system. What a HUGE difference it made. The 8" powered sub in it really helps fill out the lows across my entire front sound stage as it should be. It allowed my center to sound as it is supposed to sound. It isnt not that big size wise, but it packs tremendous sound. I paired this with a pair of the 9040 towers and a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX503 AV Reciever and I now have the front soundstage I have wanted. Def Tech recommends not using the auto sound setup of AV receivers on their towers and centers. I wiped all my settings and inputted the distance using a laser measuring tool and set the channel levels via a db meter. My system has never sounded as good, much less better.

I upgraded from a CS-9040 to the CS-9060 - and I am so glad I did. This center speaker can carry a movie with ease. The dialogue is clear, and it has the bass it needs to give volume to the movie, so it balances really well with my BP9040 front speakers.

Nice crisp sound with good bass. However not sure of how to maximize the subwoofer, sunce I have other external subwoofers.

Oh my gosh , this is one great addition to my surround sound system. I went to Best Buy to listen to many different center channel speakers and I couldn’t believe what my ear’s were missing all these years. With out a doubt top notch. Must listen to believe.

It has such a great sound for movies. The powered sub is just right.
