This is truly a powerful center channel. The highs are clear and if you choose to turn the bass up it'll blow you away. The bass is so strong I have to turn my knob down because it can shake my AV stand.

In all seriousness, it CS9080 is just another amazing center by Def tech. They never cease to amaze. The full sound spectrum of this paired with my def tech floor speakers is second to none. You get an awesome addition to run multiple subs. Remember bass management is key.

Def Tech has been my sound system since the 1990s'. I love their center channel speakers with the built in powered subwoofer. The 9080 replaced my Def Tech CLR2500. After a short break in time the sound was clearer and the bass much better sounding as well. I am sure that this will last us a well into the future.

Absolutely amazing sound. Blows away the small center speaker I have used for years. Built in sub woofer pretty cool, luckily my receiver has 2 sub outs so simply plugged it in.

It's big enough to be the focal point in a room. I did take the dimensions and lay it out in my room, but when I got it in place, WOW. Anyway, it has great sound, however, I just couldn't get it to balance out in my sound field. For the price and not being totally happy with it, I had to return it. If I had been able to see and listen to it in a demo room, I would have never purchased it.

I am enjoying the upgrade. I had an earlier version of this center speaker from Difinitive Technology and felt it was not up to the quality of the tower speakers I had by the same manufacturer. My whole set up was from about 12 or more years back and replacing this speaker gave me a major upgrade in sound. Better highs as well as mids and way better lows since the earlier center did not have a sub. I was so impressed that I got the 9060 towers as well 2 weeks later. Very happy!

Definitive Technology - Thumbs up, This 9080 series speakers are the best and top in line from the company. Every piece of tech is so meticulously embedded in this center channel is a masterpiece work. The design, quality, sturdiness, sound reproduction, woofer integrated. This is the best we can get in market. thank you Best Buy for getting the item shipped to my home. I give 5 star rating.

so far so good. I up graded from def techs 9040 center channel I had for 7 years or so ( with no problems) to the 9080 and there is quite a difference with the added sub. I havent noticed to much difference in voice clarity but the 9040 was pretty good to begin with. I have been a def tech customer for years and have been upgrading my system with there higher end speakers along the way.

I bought these to center a pair of 9080STs and they are perfect for action movies. Character conversations in between explosions, hovering helicopters, and car crashes? No problem. This speaker can handle it all.

i was using basic small martin logan center speaker which sounded no different than the tv's speakers thats why when I switched to the cs 9080 it was a night and day difference. I enjoyed listening more to high fidelity musics.

Solid product... Very loud and clear! Im certainly no expert, but I am incredibly picky and love music. This center channel is very nice and sounds great, also looks nice and clean.

I’m currently building my definitive technology audio set up this was the first speaker of seven I have bought in the last two months. the tone is very clear and the base is adjustable to an extreme level.

These speakers are just amazing. I can’t even say how great throttle even know how to describe the sound of this you just have to go in and try them out for yourself because stages sound amazing in my house

Final piece to my upgraded system!! I went with the def tech speakers because of the reviews and the way they sound.I invested a lot of money into the system and it has paid off

Wow just wow...I upgraded from the pro series basic center channel from DefTech and ohh man was that a great choice. I love this center channel and you will too.

It doesn't get any better. The fullness of sound is 2nd to none. You simply can't go wrong with def tech

This product is shipped in excellent packaging so that it arrives in pristine condition. The brief instructions enable the product to be installed efficiently. Sound quality is very good. No problems were encountered during set-up or during the time of subsequent use, that is from set-up to the time of this review (about one month).

Just received today as part of my future home theater. Great speaker, you won’t be disappointed.
