These Definitive Technology center channel does not disappoint. The sound is intense and the clarity is out of this world.

Solid center channel. Subwoofer is awesome. I upgraded from a Polk A6.

Love the sound the sound this center channel gives off. Voices are clear and crisp and it even has a built in sub. The built in powered sub has a dial control to let you control the amount of bass produced. The one gottcha I have is that it produces a "pop" when the amplifier shuts down about 10-15 minutes after you stop listening to anything.

This is a very good center channel. The most important thing to know is that for it to be worth the value you need to get this on sale. It gets discounted heavily at times. Also if you use audyssey room correction check the crossover setting after. I got some weird results. Cheers!

Sound is crystal clear and mids are great and sub is tight and punchy so the immersion of the speaker is outstanding

Great sound quality from a speaker that is not too big!

Sound bar is not working again. Best Buy Geek Squad came to our home to set up the sound bar. However, it has stopped working. Will have to pay again for Geek Squad to come and repair the sound bar.

The center channel is a very important aspect of your home theater. This speaker excels at reproducing all aspects of sound design. You hear everything! Voices, effects, etc all are delivered with clarity and detail. You won't regret your purchase. Select high quality speaker wire and experiment with the woofer knob. Keep in mind that this center will need to be plugged into an outlet. It weighs about 37 lbs so please take this into consideration when deciding placement. Buy one!!

Don’t spend the money on the upgrade, just get the entry center speaker if you’re grouping it with 3-way towers w/subs

I bought these speakers over the klipsch reference after doing a lot of research. I have had Klipsch speakers and these things are phenomenal. The sound is clear without muffle and they work great with the marantz SR 6013 av. Very happy with definitive technology speakers.

So I purchased this center (CS-9080HD) to replace my Deftech CLR 2002. The CLR 2002 was a very good sounding center and I had no particular problems with it. This new CS9080 sounds a tad better, it is a little brighter and sounds a little fuller. I am sure this is also due to the woofer and radiator this speaker has, compared to the CLR I was using. While it is pricey, I am pleased with the purchase. I am not a Def Tech fan boy, so if it sucked, I would tell it like it is. While this has a 300 watt built in Sub, I am powering my setup (5.2) with a Emotiva XPA and using a Denon AVR as a processor. My fronts are Deftech BP7002's and I was worried this wouldn't blend as well since the new Center is a newer generation but that was not the case. Out of the box it seemed a little "bright", but Audyysey correction dialed it back a bit. Overall, a great speaker if you are in the market.

i have Goldenear REF speakers and wanted to see how a powered center would sound. its a great budget speaker it will hold me over until i can get the goldenear ref. center. don't get a misunderstanding this center rocks but I'm used to the folded ribbon tweeter.
