I spent awhile trying to find a small, attractive, hi end speaker. A few things that were important to me were stereo imaging, bass production and overall low end frequency. That can be a lot to ask for at $600 and the size of this 4.5” woofer. Fortunately, these came in today and I got them hooked up to my Marantz slimline receiver in zone 2 mode. After a few adjustments I have these tiny speakers reproducing a fantastic, balanced, neutral sound. No unnecessary brightness but plenty of shine where it needs to be. They pack a very hard punch and can rumble just low enough to let you know there’s a high end cabinet in the room. Speaker satisfies every review I’ve read. I’d recommend the larger series if you’re actually looking to shake the walls. However, they are very well made and let you know they aren’t small.

I have a 7.1 system that includes Definitive D11s and D7s. The sounds produced by these bookshelf speakers is amazing, considering their size. Sound is clear and crisp, and powerful. Price points are very reasonable considering they can easily compete with high end floor standing models.

Absolutely amazing speakers. Anybody wanting good quality sound from Vinyl can’t go wrong with def tech!

Use them as surround speakers. Had a lot more base then expected when use with multi ch. stereo

These bookshelf speakers have changed my TV and music experience for the better. They pack an amazing high quality sound. I cant wait to add towers to take it to a whole new level.

I have moderate service related hearing loss. I've been using a sound bar for my TV for a few years and still either can't hear or have to turn it up so loud its obnoxious to others. I used this speaker set for speaker for my rear sound with a Yamaha receiver and other Definitive Technology speakers. Sound is crystal clear and full without being obnoxious. I wish I hadn't waited so long to do it!

These speakers have great sound and is the right size for this size house. The salesman was right when picking out these speakers.

When we have people over they are amazed at “where the here the sound”. Amazing during movies and football games.

These are really great, they sound amazing, are built like a tank and look very nice.

I've been a huge fan of Def-Tech speakers pretty much my entire adult life. While I'm slightly concerned that the company has sort of lost it's charm as they've moved to more mass produced equipment, these still sound amazing. I have them hooked to a Pioneer Elite 2 channel receiver and paired with a Supercube 2000. Incredible rig for the money.
