I bought these to replace Klipsch R51-M thinking they would be an upgrade - They weren't. I ended up returning them because they just were not that great. They weren't bad, but they were worth the price.

I have had these speakers for a couple of months, so I think I can be fairly objective with this review. I am driving them with an Onkyo amp with a power rating of 30 watts into 8 ohms. The room they are in is approximately 12 x 15 feet. Despite the rather low power rating of the amp, I find I am able to drive these speakers to very loud levels with no apparent distortion.
I listen mostly to classical music which has the widest dynamic range and most complex music content compared to other forms of music. These speakers present an incredibly detailed sound with all the instruments very well defined. They also throw a very wide sound stage with good depth. My one complaint, and it is why I give these only 4 and not 5 stars, is that when played at lower sound levels, the quieter music passages almost dissapear. You really need to listen at louder levels to hear all the music. With typical pop or jazz music, this might not be an issue. But since classical music can have very quiet passages, this is an issue if you do not want to listen at higher sound levels. Despite this, I think these are overall very good speakers and I highly recommend them.

I can't understand all the good reviews of these speakers. The opposite of my experience.
I am an audiophile and also own an A/V custom installation business with over 150 installs.
I bought these speakers and a CS9060 for the living room in a second home. I also bought a pair of D9's for the master bedroom. Both systems powered by high end Denon receivers.
I could not believe how veiled the sound was from these speakers. The voices were very recessed. I tried every trick I know to get them to sound correctly: positioning, cables, speaker wires, crossover settings, etc. Nothing worked.
So I called DT tech support. The first rep told me I needed to download the latest firmware. Are you serious!!! Theses are speakers.
The next rep told me I didn't have enough power to run them. Incredible.
When I explained my background to a supervisor and suggested
some kind of return, he was not helpful at all and suggested that maybe I just didn't like their speakers. He was right about that.
I replaced everything with KEF Q series and all is well.
I will never recommend or purchase DT speakers going forward.
