The Geek squad put these in the ceiling for me and they did a great job. The look is very clean and professional. The screen covers are magnetic so it makes it easy to take them on and off as needed. I bought a higher end receiver with 170 watts per channel and I still have yet to turn the volume all the way up. About 80% and you can't hear yourself talk. Watching movies now is so much more enjoyable.

Amazing speakers with a simple installation..definitive technology does dissappoint!

Between this and thier 600 pro series speakers I've become a true believer in definitve technology. These guys rounded out my Atmos setup beautifully. They sound amazing and were easy to install in my drop ceiling.

I always buy Klipsch in-ceiling speakers but since they have gone up in price, I decided to try DT instead since they were cheaper and I had a great recommendation from my neighbor. These DT 8R sound pretty good. They have great treble. good range, and decent bass. I ended up returning them and I got the DI 8R instead. I was able to get those speakers for a much better price and they have better bass. Overall, a cheaper and decent alternative to Klipsch in-ceiling speakers.

Good and clear installation instructions and quick to complete. Sound quality is as reviewed and demonstrated by the Magnolia staff.

Just purchased my 2nd set now I have 2 atmos ceiling speakers that make all my company want them. I can't tell you enough about the crystal clear noise that comes crashing down on you while you are watching a movie. I am very happy with these purchases.

We opted to go with this speaker on the recommendation of the in-home consult representative and we are very pleased with all aspects of the speaker. The sound quality is amazing. We would purchase these again if we ever needed to do another in-ceiling speaker install.

I bought these speakers for a new house and gravitated towards def tech since I'm familiar with their traditional bookshelf speakers. These things deliver a crisp, clean sound when watching tv or a movie from my onkyo receiver. Glad I went with these speakers over saving some money on a less expensive speaker, only to be disappointed.

Installed these in my family room/den. Hooked up on a Sonos Amp as part of my whole house system. Geek Squad did the install and did a great job - quick and clean. They sound amazing!

Had these mounted in ceiling as rear surround speakers added to my Klipsch 5.1 home theater. Nice clear sound that matches with the Klipsch front speakers. No distortion even at high volumes

Works well with the other Def Tech tower and center channel speakers; keeps up at higher volumes without distortion.

We are quite happy and pleased with our in-cieling speakers by Def - Tech. They go well with out Def - Tech subwoofer that we had for our media room. Nice buy!

Added a pair of these as ceiling speakers in my home theater renovation along with a dolby atmos receiver and they helped fill the room with rich surround sound from above.

I could not be more satisfied with these speakers. They are reasonably priced for the quality of sound they produce.
