I was very impressed with the sound quality of these speakers when I put them side by side with my Bose Companion Surround Sound system/with a subwoofer. The Inclines have great bass response without a sub and for the price are the best computer speakers I have heard for those who enjoy high end sound. Con I - The connecting wires for the master and slave only is available in one length. Our company was trying to mount these on each side of our projector and the wire is only about 5 feet or so wide and its a proprietary Def Tech connector. Def Tech says sorry but that is the only length they have right now. However, for most desktop applications the length is more than sufficient. Con II - you cannot control the sound through the computer volume keys if using the USB connection for high def sound. You have to use the actual volume buttons on the speakers. However, if you use the analog cable with the small headphone-type jack then you can control sound via the computer though. Seems like a design flaw for such high end speakers. Overall a fantastic sounding set of computer speakers for those wanting really high end sound. You can even add a subwoofer to the system if the bass response from the speakers alone aren't enough for you.

Purchased these when they went on sale at best buy. They are surprisingly heavy and they look nice. I hooked them up to my pc via sub. Sound was great. No drivers needed. Then I hooked them up to my tv via optical and added the subwoofer and opened the throttle. Yes they shook he walls with or without the subwoofer. However this connection meant the volume control was not controlled via tv remote. Connecting via the analog cable would allow you to control volume via tv remote but at some signal loss. My conclusion -- these were meant for a pc and are great for that. You can connect them to TV especially when space constrained and they will still deliver good quality sound. Just don't pay list price for them

Love the quality of the sound! Wish i would have got these speakers sooner the I did. My only Minor complaint is that I wish the interconnect cable between the two speakers was a bit longer. Only for the fact that I like to hid the cables. May consider adding a sub at some point.

Great Desktop speaker from Def Technology. Use the USB connection for best results. Great neutral sound with great bass for its size. Recommended.

These computer speakers deliver excellent sound from the highs to thumping base. The sound is extra crisp which is as expected from high-end speakers. These speakers do not distort even at high volumes. The optical connection is a plus for me as I use the port to connected XBOX 360 as a second input to the speakers. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with these speakers.

I was looking for high fidelity speakers for my computer for quite a while. I found that I listen to music mostly on my computer these days and would like to upgrade my computer speakers to similar quality of speakers I have in my high-end home theater. After a good amount of research I selected a handful of high definition speakers available in the market and started monitoring the price. As soon as I got a good deal at Best Buy I bought these. IMO These speakers sound fabulous. They do not sound shouting in your face, they are not boomy, they just sound right. The dynamics are perfect; the stereo separation fantastic, you will hear nuances in your music you have not heard before trust me. They are also not fatiguing. You can hear for hours and never get tired. Setup is straightforward, packing is excellent.

The speakers by themselves sound wonderful, great highs and very clear. The lows are fine, particularly considering the (relatively) small size producing the bass. However, once I added a subwoofer (which these speakers allow; a bit unusual for USB computer speakers), the sound quality of the highs and the low is outstanding! While a little pricey, I would still recommend these speakers, particularly to those looking to add a subwoofer, too.

I spend way too much time at the computer working photos and these speakers sound great! The overall sound is very pleasing and I'm able to enjoy them for hours without speaker fatigue. I had no trouble with the break in and install. They also look really nice. I bought these without listening to them first because the demo gear was not working but am highly pleased!

Great sounding PC speakers. Has built in DAC for cleaner reproduction. 2 Amps per speaker. Bass is solid but not overwhelming. Comes with Sub Woofer output if you need a little more bass. Bought these for less than 1/2 price. Excellent buy. Bought a second pair for my other PC. You won't be disappointed.

These speakers sound great! Playing music through the speakers sound great and excellent although it could be somewhat improved with the addition of a subwoofer. These are exceptionally designed & built speakers that perform above most 2.0 or 2.1 speaker systems.

I personally think its input selection needs to be improved. Otherwise these are very good speakers especially when it is connected with USB ports through its internal DAC and paired with a subwoofer. The subwoofer does not need to be very powerful. I have it hooked up to a 100W rated subwoofer which seems a little over and I had to turn the volume to 1/3. I think 50W might be well suited.

WOW. I am completely blown away by these speakers. The soundstage is UNREAL. If you have a chance to pick some of these Inclines up, do it! The best near-field speakers I’ve ever heard. Just simply amazing.

These speakers amaze me with the range they deliver. Bass is incredibly surprising and low for a speaker of this size. A subwoofer is not needed for me and I am a bit of a bass head. Volume gets quite loud as well but near the upper half, the speaker starts to distort a bit. Purchased these at a deep discount. At the retail price, they would be a pass, on sale at about $200, jump on them.

Having long been a fan of Definitive Technology's products but not ever having had a chance to own any from new (the only way I choose to buy electronics for the most part), I was immediately interested in hearing these speakers and pairing them with my high end PC setup. Despite not getting to hear them until I hooked them up, I still knew I wouldn't be disappointed. Definitive Technology has an outstanding reputation and I've heard many of their other models and knew that these would be just as sonically excellent. To put it bluntly, these speakers are out-freaking-standing in their sound quality, construction, and look. While they sounded excellent on their own, pairing them with a sub is the way to go. It makes an immediate impact and rounds out the sound just so. Getting the panel off the right speaker didn't seem as pesky as I've read, but individual experiences may vary. As for connections, there's several options available and all connections (minus the TOSLINK cable) are included with them. As is suggested by Dev Tech and elsewhere, I'd suggest they be hooked up via the USB cable so as to use the dedicated and built in DAC. Again, I couldn't be happier if I tried at this point. These could easily sit next to a television and be just as awesome. I'm so pleased Dev Tech decided to venture into the realm of PC peripherals. Outstanding job, fellas. Truly outstanding.

I had bose speakers and these went on sale, yes still a but high, but 100000% worth it. You will be soooo happy you got these. I use them on my PC and they work flawlessly and sound AMAZING

Easily the best computer speakers I've ever heard. Awesome sound from a fairly small speaker. Especially considering that it doesn't need a subwoofer.

It is usually hard to find great Hi-Fi level sound quality for the computer speakers, these completely deliver fantastic sound.

I was extremely impressed. Better than any other I auditioned. Combine with the Dragonfly USB DAC, for even better results.
