These satellite speakers are awesome! Crisp, clean highs and full midrange. I'm using these for the fronts and surrounds of a 5.1 theater system. I compared them to the 1000s and found that the sound was nearly equal, but I chose the 800s because they are a more management size for our relatively small room.

small and compact but with a good sound these speakers can handle the power, and great looking.

Was not looking to spend a lot of money on sound system. Bought these to go with the procenter speaker. Liking the sound so far. And they are very small, easy to move around to adjust sound. Getting them on sale also helped!

I was worried these would be too small to fill a large room with surround sound, but so far they have handled everything my system has thrown at them. I just used my tuner's app to add a few db's to them as they are in a room with a 12 ft vaulted ceiling... Hung at 9ft due to room/wall configuration. Wish the mounting bracket had a hole or slot for better concealment of the speaker wire. Not terrible, but not prefect either.

The speakers are great and easy to install. Price point is good if you are looking for something affordable but with good quality. You will need banana plugs to terminate the wires to in order to plug into the speakers.

Good for what it is made for. I used it in my home theater setup and totally impressed with sound quality

I have been upgrading my 600 series speakers with the 800 series. Good results in volume, bass and clarity. My only wish is that I should have gotten the 800 series up front, but live and learn. The 600 system was good but I like these better.

I’m a huge fan of Definitive speakers, clear, powerful, just amazing. When I saw these on sale I jumped at the chance to get them. Did not disappoint! Quality product, great company.

I was lucky to find these for $99 each and am using them as rear surrounds. Do not let the small size fool you. These are top-quality speakers that provide beautiful, clear sound and pack a punch when called on.

I have been looking for a back surround speaker in my 7.1.2 system, even though I have all Klipsch speaker system, these blended easily with my Klipsch,,They look fantastic, perfect size for my application .Very clean sound.

I purchased a pair of the PM800's to complement the def tech pro monitor 1000 center channel and the def tech BP 8040s. I couldn't be happier. As soon as I got them installed I threw in the dark knight rises and started to giggle bc the sound was so sick. I then put in Mr Brooks and the speakers reproduced sounds like rain with perfect clairty. If you're looking for a great set of rears give these a serious listen, you won't be let down.

These little speakers pack an enormous punch. And they can be played very loud with no distortion!!

We finally decided to retire our old surround speakers and, after hearing these, I wish we had done it years ago. Paired with 1000's in the front, we're enjoying a much more immersive experience and hearing all kinds of things that our old speakers just weren't able to produce. These are definitely larger than our old surrounds, but were very easy to mount and the glossy exteriors look great. Very, very happy with our purchase.

This has great sound for a small bookshelf speaker. A little pricy, but worth the cost. Matches perfectly with the mail speakers.

I walked into Best Buy to talk with a salesman about purchasing a Samsung curved sound bar for my new Samsung 65" 4K Smart Curved LED Ultra HDTV. His comment was that many people buy awesome TVs and then pair them with sound bars. His comment was that Samsung is not a speaker company. And that sound bars, in general, are pretty poor. After spening a lot of money on a great TV, it's worth completing the experience by purchasing a superior audio system. He brought me into the Magnolia demo room and played the Definitive Technology bipolar speakers. They sounded great. It turned out that the speakers were on sale for half off their original price. I bought two BP-8040ST towers along with the corresponding CS-8040 center speaker. I wanted to buy two matching surround speakers from the same family, but they were no longer available from anywhere at Best Buy. Instead, I purchased two PROSAT 800 surround speakers. The sound from the entire system is awesome. While the speakers, plus a Yamaha receiver, certainly cost more than a sound bar, the old adage holds true: you get what you pay for. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Definitive Technology speakers.

I usually don't recommend speakers to people because everybody has differences in their hearing. I've had quite a few speakers in my lifetime, I used to work making speakers, but these definitive Pro Monitors are just awesome, I highly recommend you take the time and listen to them. I have a 5.1 surround sound setup with an Onkyo TX - NR6100 GREAT!!!!!!

Bought these as a compromise. My wife wanted smaller speakers, and as a man, I wanted bigger. She won. But to say I am happy would be an understatement. I have a smaller theater room, and these compliment the rest of the system perfectly. Great sound and I would/will purchase again.

I bought four of these during the Christmas sale. I replaced some older Boston acoustics with these. I must say, for the price, I dont think you could do much better. I have tried these without my sub hooked up and they provide plenty of bass by themselves. You cant go wrong with these and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new speakers.
