The sub woofer works more than my old one and makes watching movies or TV enjoyable!

I had tried 2 other sub woofers and this one delivers the best.

ProSub 8" is a good speaker but it was discontinued and replaced by the new DN8 subwoofer.

I purchased this because it was a great deal as an open box item. But it turned out to be faulty. It produced a rumbling noise for a few minutes after receiving signal. I unplugged the subwoofer rca feed and it still rumbled. The Definitive representative said it was bad. I returned it to Best Buy for my money back, no problem.

I have the Pro Cinema 600 surround system and wanted to replace the subwoofer with the 800. I purchased this as a open item as Best Buy stated it was in "EXCELLENT" condition. Really????? Unfortunately it was a paper weight as it wouldn't even powerup. Box was in such terrible shape I can't even believe they shipped it like that. Several rips and holes in the box and NO receipt was included. Whoever tested and certified this as "EXCELLENT" hopefully doesn't work there anymore so the next person doesn't get screwed like I did! I wasted 2 hours checking/tweaking my receiver settings and it was nothing but a dud!!! Some type of compensation should have been offered toward a new one for all this trouble.

It kept going into sleep mode while in use. And would not wake up unless I did the setup again.

The 8 inch is a little small I really should have done the 10inch.

I ordered the ProSub 800 as an addition to a set of bookshelf speakers. It arrived today. I immediately tied it into the bookshelf speakers and amps and sources and fired it up. Underwhelming would be too kind. No matter what level (apart from off) I set the sub at, it rattled like a hail storm on a tin roof. Concerned it might be my equipment I cycled my other subs and speakers across the same setup. Everything was good except this sub. Returning it tomorrow first thing.

There are better on the market. I associate bass with Definitive Technology and but this unit's driver left me unimpressed.

Performs OK. Prettier than most. Volume control on the side seems a strange place to put it. Way to expensive for what it provides

I didn't let me this one. This woofer started literally hopping.

Not working within 2 months from purchase dAte. Manufacture never picks up the phone. Please help me get a replacement

This sub is very capable of producing some big and powerful sounds but I had to keep turning the volume down to better match my speakers. Bass has great impact and is very smooth. Couldn't have asked for a better match for my q100. Although not mentioned anywhere, the sub I received surprisingly had a power switch on the back.

It had a rattle in the voice coil right out of the box. Returned the next day. Not recommended.

I have this little guy paired up with my pro800 fronts, pro600 surrounds, and procenter1000, running through a Pioneer AVR, and the bass is thundering! These subs are so small and easy to hide, but dont let size fool you, they generate massive power! Just watch a battle scene from Gladiator, or LOTR for instance and you will feel it reverberate through your chest! They work best if you run your front speakers through the back and then through the receiver, which may be a little extra wiring but well worth the hassle in IMO. They look very nice as well. Crossover works perfectly and auto on and off makes it easy and works flawlessly unlike some other brands i have had before. Get one if you can!
