Perfect small sub. Fits in small spaces, yet can emit big sound. Very controlled and accurate, it can be musical and has a great range.

Good for a smaller system and room. The 1000 fit my needs better. My only other issue is speaker does not weigh enough. On vinyl plank flooring the speaker would not stay in place.

Pricey… replacing an older Def tech powered sub that died after about 5-6 years, power supply gave out. Hopefully this one last as long or longer. Needed something with a small footprint, this fit the bill and pairs nicely with our older Def Tech high/mid range speakers that are still kicking.

I was nervous about the 8" sub being too small for my living room. I was pleasantly surprised after getting it set up properly. I have seen some reviews of the definitive subs going into sleep mode even when music was playing. This happened to me at first after using the microphone set up with my Yamaha receiver. Eventually I found out that I had the sub turned up to full power during set up, so the receiver compensated and set the signal so low that the sub thought the music was off. I re-ran the set up with the sub at the recommended 50% power. -- All good. :)

This is a great sub for a standard size bedroom that serves as a media room. Nice clean bass sound without ever sounding excessive. I have the volume set at about 65%. The little legs look nice but require furniture pads to minimize sliding movement of the sub on smooth tile. I like the 5 year warranty. Good value, as similar subs cost 20-50% more. I highly recommend.

This sub is magnificent. It can be tuned to the room, and had enough power to make any movie or TV show sound great.
