You hear objects based sound with this speaker. It places you in the scenes. You get to live the gunshots, helicopter flying, swords fighting... live. Abrupt sounds will dazzle you right in your chair which makes it surreal.

I bought these two speakers to add "back" speakers to make a 7:1 system in my home theater room. They sound great and add the final touch to my sound system.

Bought these with towers and a center channel from Definitive, expecting them to make a big difference in our listening experience. The result is better than we hoped. You get what you pay for (at least we feel like we did).

Awesome speakers. I purchased two of these to set up my new sound system to place my old LPs and was not disappointed. Easy to install, use and sound quality is excellent. Highly recommend.

We made the financially fatal mistake of going into the "demo-room" where we watched/listened to "Life of Pi" through a Def Tech system powered by a Yamaha RX A880...(we fully intended to only purchase a Klipsch speaker system that was on sale). Simply put... there was no turning back. OMG... the sensation of the presence of the tiger was nothing short of terrifying... chuckle. Needless to say, a few thousand dollars later we were on our way home with an amazing Yamaha RX A880, a pair of BP9020 towers, a pair of A90 height speakers, a pair of SR-9040 surrounds, and a CS-9060 center with integrated sub. I've had this system now for about a year and a half and it sounds as good today as it did when I brought it home. No issues whatsoever. Phenomenal.

Worth the slight $ premium...helps create wonderfully, enveloping sound, even if you're running a simple 5.1 set-up. Also love the versatility for either a ceiling or stand mount (if the latter, recommend putting on iso stands or something similar).

Bought these to replace my old (15 years) surround speakers and the difference is noticeable. They are attractive, unobtrusive and reasonably priced. This is my first purchase of a Definitive Technology product and I'm happy.

It's hard to give these a fair rating because we ended up having to return them due to the home theater pre-wired set-up. These are directional outward on a parallel basis that only mount flush on the wall. We need tilting / wall-mounted speakers so they wouldn't work. However, we did listen to them and they sounded great! If you're looking for an option to place level with your seating or flush on a wall these are the ones.

My final piece to my system and definitely do not disappoint. Love definitive Technology speakers can’t go wrong.

Great upgrade from my Sony surrounds. Definitive bipolar speaker have a deep rich sound surrounding the back area.
