Can’t wrap my head around how something this small puts out so much clean bass . This is my 2nd purchase of one these amazing super cube 2000s within a month . I’ve had numerous subs in the past none of which sounded this great . Movies and music sound fantastic through this little beast . I run one in my family room and my home theater room in my basement . Subwoofer placement does make a big difference I would advise to read owners manual on recommended sub placement .

Looking for a quality sub to pair up with my Vienna Acoustics Mozart speakers for low end fill. This is exactly what I was looking for. Small footprint and sounds incredible. Nice deep bass, not boomy at all. What a fantastic match, speakers sound so much better. Simple connection. Bought open box, like brand new and couldn't be happier! Great job Def tech!!

The auto turn on and off is a bit of a pain. We have a klipsch system for our downstairs setup. The sub woofer went and purchased this def tech 1000. We have Definitive Technology speakers for our upstairs system. Love the clarity of it and new this sub would work fine. Tested it out at Best Buy and this thing is the best they have for the size.
After getting the supercube 1000 it took some adjusting in the receiver settings so the sub wood kick on with tv and movie viewing at a lower volume. If you don’t adjust the settings on the receiver, you have to turn the volume up pretty high for the sub to come on, then you can turn it back down once it’s on.
Once you get the fine tuning done, it’s a excellent sub with great punch for the size. It’s really nice because it’s not a big eyesore and easily to hide. Sounds great also, very crisp, punchy bass. You won’t find a better sub this small with this much punch. Definitive technology service is top notch! The top cover was damaged when we purchased the sub. Called them and just sent a copy of the receipt and they sent out a new one.
Thanks definitive technology!

Sooooo good after I bought my first one I went back to buy another! I’m using this with a marantz sr5013 and definitive 9040s and a 7.2 setup. These little guys pack a lot if power and play clean and can hit the low bass notes. I’m surprised how efficient they are in a room 20x14 feet with corner placements in corners of the room tremendous bass at mid volume. Jurassic park, Star Wars, a great sub for movies!

I purchased this Def Tech's SuperCube 2000 to upgrade my previous 10in sub, based only on years of reading excellent praise on the Def Tech brand, but it was always out of my budget range. So when I saw it at half price, I knew I had to take the opportunity. Man, this little monster not only met but surpassed my expectations, it really packs a punch for such a tiny frame! Room and angle positioning are not as significant due to the two side firing radiators. Power is abundant for even large rooms, I've rarely heard it distort with the lowest frequencies in movie soundtracks, granted, I haven't needed to turn its volume higher that halfway up, but all in all, an outstanding value. Minor concern is, although I did acquire BestBuy's service plan, I'm not sure what kind of replacement I'd be offered in case this sub were to malfunction, since I think this model has been outdated for a while. Still, I'm confident it has plenty of wall-rattling years on it for my enjoyment.

its a good deep bass for its size. great for TV, Movies and Music. However, the performance of this nugget depends highly on placement and acoustics, more than most subs. The lows roll off the cone, but it cant handle its given power. it will start to crack and sound rough if you give it all she's got. Still, its better than most that are bigger

It's hard to describe how awesome the tight, rolling bass sounds coming from this small marvel of a subwoofer. I don't know how Definitive Technology managed to squeeze so much bass out of such a small for factor, but they have clearly done it.
Despite the lack of size, there's plenty of punch thanks to an 8" main woofer coupled with the two passive radiators and all powered by a 650w digital amp. It seemless blends in with your other speakers and adds great punch in even larger rooms. Just buy it already... as you won't be disappointed.

Not only does the Supercube create great bass, it also contributes to the overall sound definition. The Supercube replaced an older Sub-woofer, and I was amazed at the results. It is easy to notice that you are not just hearing a "thud" but the multiple speakers that make up the Supercube increase the pitch and tonality of the media. My surround system never sounded so "surround." Highly recommend.

Good Bass for Movies but Not for Music

I Purchased this Sub in Feb. 2018 and tested it for nearly a month (28 days exactly). The sub performed really well for movies and general TV watching. I really can't complain about it on that end. However, I returned the sub because I didn't like it for music at all. It's not the clean bass i was looking for. I used my HT for movies about 60% and music about 40% of the time. And as such, i needed a sub that can perform well for both. I tested a Martin Logan Dynamo 700W and immediately returned the Supercube 2000. The ML Dynamo performed much better for music. It does better for movies as well so for me, it was pretty clear which sub i needed to keep.
Worth noting, if I didn't use the Supercube 2000 for music, I'd have kept it and returned the Martin Logan, considering that it is cheaper and smaller and handles movies pretty well. I would say i'm impress with how this sub plays movies considering it's size. It can definitely shake my living room.
I would recommend to a friend who's looking for a sub for movies only.

The Definitive Technology - SuperCube 2000 really is a surprise, clean punchy bass and can get pretty low when it needs to. With it's small size it can fit or hide almost anywhere for a stealthy look.
Musically I'd say it does a good job of adding that lower octave that is needed if you have bookshelf speakers. It does cost more than alot of larger subs from other manufacturers, but the ability to place the sub almost anywhere and get great bass is really hard to beat.
Overall I am very pleased with the sub and would love to hear the larger SuperCubes but for the price and the convenience this sub is hard to beat!! When we were at Best Buy my wife and i did test out quite a few other subs and the SuperCube just sounded better than all the rest they had in the sound room.

I picked this up about 9 months ago (Jan 2020) in an insane sale, and it has been a fantastic replacement for an 18 year old blown sub I had. My wife's only requirement was that it have a smaller footprint than the 12" sub it replaced, and she was very happy with the SuperCube when it arrived.
I have been more than happy with the sound it produces since it is clean and can get very deep when needed. I have not yet experienced any shaking sounds thus far, either. When I really want to crank it up, I can feel it across the house, which I only do on occasion for funsies. It does hit harder and louder than the 12" it replaced.
I would highly recommend this sub to anyone, especially someone who is very space conscious.

I purchased this subwoofer recently, i already knew that definitive technology was good, but this super cube is a BEAST! i hooked it up to my bowers & wilkins soundbar and all i can say is wow! No humming, or buzzing. The movies sound so thunderous and crisp, the super cube adjusts its automatically to each cable channel. This is definitely worth every penny i spent. I recommend this product to everybody. Absolute powerhouse.

Very simple - are there stronger subs for the money? Sure there are. But are there any that are smaller than a 1' cube? None for anywhere NEAR this kinda money, especially when it is on sale. When footprint is considered, this little guy is a beast.
For some perspective, I have Def Tech 9040 towers and the 9080 center, so I already have integrated subs. My setup is in a shared family room that opens into kitchen/dining area so it is LARGE, with high ceilings as well. Just for grins, I added one of these to the mix, not really sure if I would even hear it over the subs in the towers and center, but hey - it very much holds its own. It doesn't knock pictures off the wall in this large of a space, but it absolutely adds an element that was not already here. Even my wife and young children noticed immediately how much stronger the bass response was. And the kicker for me - it is not loose or sloppy in the slightest. It is tight, well controlled and yet still impactful. Very impressive, musical little sub.
And thats the highest compliment I can give it.
