Best Subwoofer on the market!! I mainly use for music, tight clean powerful bass. Highly recommended !!

Bought a pair of these subs for 5k Cubic feet room and they were underwhelming and couldn't come close to what the bp9080 woofers were pushing. Along with the subs just not working randomly (known issue check other reviews) it was time to return them quickly

The sub woofer came and I installed it. noticeable distortion when it did work. However it kept shutting off by itself, and despite repeated attempts, fruitless searches, and long hours... I couldn't fix it. Packed it up, and sent it back. I should have tried another, but it just wore me down. Back to my old sub (SuperCube 2000).

I typically do my research and read reviews prior to making a purchase of this size and did so, but also decided to go to the store to listen to what they had before making a purchase. While the magnolia theater room at the local Best Buy did not have this model on display, they did have the model 2000. I compared this to the Klipsh, MartinLogans, B&W, a Pioneer, and the other definitive technology subs available. The SuperCube 2000 was by far the fullest and warmest sounding sub in the room. I was a little apprehensive about the model 6000, but once I got it set up I realized that I had made the right decision. I was fearful that the model 6000 might be much muddier in sound than the 2000, but this was not the case. I have a CS8040 and two BP8040s. I was able to turn off the built in subs on the BP8040s as the extra bass was unnecessary for my needs. The remote makes adjustments very easy and is an almost necessity. I'm still amazed at the sound this comparatively small unit makes. I listen to both music and watch movies (though more so watch movies). I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you opt to add this sub to your setup!

This subwoofer is fantastic. It’s performance for its size is incredible. It looks very nice as well. Not too big and blends in nicely. It has a remote so it’s much easier to set up and get dialed in. The sound is great for movies and is great for music. The sub does cost a lot of money but in the end it is worth it. With all the technology and the size to performance ratio it’s well worth it. Definitive technology definitely knows subs, that’s for sure. This is a solid performer.

i have Definitve tech 8000 series speaker system, this sub is powerful for the size, if you don't have lot of space for huge sub and music listening is part of your setup this is the sub to get. for someone who wants booming sub they should not buy this. i never felt i need more bass, my AVR (Marantz SR6013) has recommended to bring the volume setting down to 17 during calibration, that tells me it has good enough bass, i am using two of these in theater room setup.

If you are tired of subwoofers that aren't as good as you expected - here is your answer...... finally I have all the bass I ever wanted and it is actually musical !!!!!

The deep bass and hard knocking bass is everything you could ask for!
