Got them on open box sale I noticed an instant 100% improvement I'm my entire system at all volumes with these. The built in subs are key set up was easy I love them

Very impressed with the look and sound of these speakers. As a big movie buff, I take pride in bringing the theater experience into my home and these do the trick.

Speakers are great, slightly over priced, but all in all they are the best set of speakers i have ever owned. I would recommend them to anyone who can afford them.

I bought these with the sonos connect:amp and also have them connected to my computer. I bought two, but one of them was not working when I got it home. After figuring out the problem Best Buy replaced it without much hastle. All of that aside... They sound amazing, and with the windows open, i feel like i could rock the entire neighborhood! Someone else put it best: for the price per day for how long you will own these, they are totally worth it!

Excellent speaker with rich tones and a built in powered subwoofer. I highly recommend these speakers...their worth every penny.

I walked into Best Buy to talk with a salesman about purchasing a Samsung curved sound bar for my new Samsung 65" 4K Smart Curved LED Ultra HDTV. His comment was that many people buy awesome TVs and then pair them with sound bars. His comment was that Samsung is not a speaker company. And that sound bars, in general, are pretty poor. After spening a lot of money on a great TV, it's worth completing the experience by purchasing a superior audio system. He brought me into the Magnolia demo room and played the Definitive Technology bipolar speakers. They sounded great. It turned out that the speakers were on sale for half off their original price. I bought two BP-8040ST towers along with the corresponding CS-8040 center speaker. I wanted to buy two matching surround speakers from the same family, but they were no longer available from anywhere at Best Buy. Instead, I purchased two PROSAT 800 surround speakers. The sound from the entire system is awesome. While the speakers, plus a Yamaha receiver, certainly cost more than a sound bar, the old adage holds true: you get what you pay for. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Definitive Technology speakers.

I bought a pair to replace some old front towers. The difference was immense; these just blew the old ones away. They work just as well for music as front surround.

I am impressed with these speakers. The sound quality is strong and the powered amps deliver a powerful base. Listening to music is crisp and clean and then those movies deliver the boost to feel like you're in a movie theater. Highly recommend these speakers. I am not disappointed. These replaced my Boston Acoustics VR 960's Lynwood series speakers. Wish I had replaced them earlier.

Best value for your dollar! Enough watts to power a big room, but clear!

I initially got the 8020 towers but wanted more so I got these 8040 and they are just right. Using them with my 600 Def tech surrounds to make 7 channel surround. Got the matching 8040 center channel and movies are amazing. Don't need to spend money to go to movie theaters.

These speakers are not cheap, but you do get what you pay for! I listened to a lot of different front speakers, and chose these after many test. I currently have it paired with a cs8040hd and tsi100 for surround. I've been slowly building my system over time and it is almost complete. I just need to replace the tsi100s. I was fortunate enough to find these open item priced, so I got them at a great deal. Unfortunately one of the towers was missing the bottom pegs. I called definitive and thy were very professional and sent replacement part for it immediately. For any beginners, know that building a surround system is very expensive and I have been putting mine together for the last two years. It is definitely worth it though especially if you are a movie lover!!!

I purchased a set of two towers right when they went on sale. They have been AMAZING! I would have paid full price. Sadly, the sub in one of the towers started to make that bad sound. Thankfully, they have an awesome warranty program so they're both covered!

Great sound. Excellent price. Looks great in my theatre room.

The sound from these speakers feels like your really there

I have looked high and low to find a great set of speakers for my surround sound system. These turn out to be the perfect purchase. I highly recommend this set of speakers.

I use these speakers to watch movies and play xbox and I must say they are awesome!! Especially with the built in SUBS!! You can really tell a difference with the bass coming from to different sides of the room!

Purchased these at a significant discount as the new models were coming in. Setup was easy as I have them powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-91. Bass is good considering the small size of the subwoofer. However, if you want the deeper bass you will need to add a desperate subwoofer. I don't feel like I have to have another subwoofer. The clarity is not that of a Martin Logan or Bowers and Wilkins, but I I am satisfied. Plus, I was not willing to pay thousands more to get to floorstanding speakers and the sub will for in the other manufacturers. I'm very satisfied for the price I paid and now just need to get the rear surround speakers to complete the system.
