This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Have some Yamaha and onkyo from the golden age as well as several pairs of snell, psb and Athena speakers. Looked long and hard to find the adapt. Works like a champ. Very highly recommended. Bought a couple of w7s and micronsoundbar too and they are fantastic as well. Setup for all was a breeze and I use an old iPhone as a dedicated controller. Can't recommend highly enough. Fantastic. Thank you d-tech

I purchased the W7 and tried to connect it to my wireless network. The speaker said it was connected, but the app would not recognize that there was a speaker on the network. When I called the DT support number I was told that the speaker was defective. I then received the W Adapt that I had ordered and tried the same thing. Once again it said that I was on the network, but it wouldn't show up in the app. Once again I called DT tech support. This time I was told that DT wireless products do not work on any Apple routers. When I asked what I could do to work around this I was told to buy a new router. When I asked if they were working to fix this I was told that the support team didn't know if they were or not. I have returned everything and will go with another brand instead of spending another $100 -$200 on a new router.

What I don't like about this product is the app. For some reason the app does not carry over my playlists, which has all my favorite music on it. I wish Definitive would fix this flaw in the application because I do not want to listen to just radios stations, rather the seven or eight playlist that I have created on my listening apps. I also have a problem when the stations go in and out at the very beginning every time I play music for the first time.

The Adapt works perfectly and allowed existing speakers to become part of my music network as a separate zone. Effortlessly connects to w studio.

Old Receiver, Made New

Have been a Def Tech fan for years with my Mythos/Supercube home theater system, but I wanted a way to add streaming music services to my Onkyo receiver. The Adapt lets me wirelessly send Pandora and Sirius XM to my home theater system, but it's also gives me the ability to expand this streaming music into my kitchen and bedroom with Def Tech's wireless speakers. Only thing I didn't care for was that it lacked Spotify (it does offer Pandora, Songza, Sirius XM, Deezer, as well as NPR, FoxNews, etc.)...In speaking with customer service I'm hearing Spotify and others will be added shortly.

DTS playfi is terrible. Google playfi and you will see that this is true.
Anyways... Do yourself a favor and get a chromecast audio. It does everything the adapt does, including multiroom support, plus it's less buggy and supports more apps. And the best part? Its only 35 bucks. You're welcome.

Wireless? supposed be easy but this is no where near. Got to use 2 diff apps, restart every now and then, install and uninstall apps, keep updating software. Save your time and get sonos connect.
