This is my first Dell laptop and I can say I can trust Dell. I never like Dell Laptops based on my experience with my friends laptop's but after buying this i'm quiet positive. The battery life is good, Nice display, does not heat the base like most laptops do.

I love this laptop! I bought it because the Dell XPS I had for 6yrs decided to die on me and I knew I would only buy another Dell! The touch screen is amazing and makes daily tasks so much easier. I use this laptop for school and work and social media. I know I can rely on the memory and Intel i7 to handle whatever task I choose to do!

Excellent high performance laptop. WIth the i7 processor there is nothing that this laptop cannot do. Reliability is great, very durable frame. Still getting use to the 'mac' style mousepad. Only complaint is that I wish the battery life lasted a little longer as I seem to only get about 5 hours, but I know that this is my own doing getting the i7. Overall great laptop, would buy again in a heartbeat.

Pretty decent computer, its actually pretty sturdy I've had it scratch against things, with no scratches come up on the computer. Relatively quick computer, only negative aspect is the audio i feel is very low, but with headphones it's quite loud even at the volume being at 2. Though I don't really enjoy windows 8, you could install an older version of windows for example 7 and this computer would be great for basic or business use, which I will do later because it has more than enough hard-drive space. I use it mostly for college, and I will probably keep this computer for a few more years into grad school and install windows 7 for more professional use. Very quick/ sensitive to touch/ lightweight overall I enjoy this computer

This is by far the nicest laptop I have ever owned. Its really fast, can easily run multiple programs at once. Also has a lot of storage with 1 TB. I would recommend this device to anyone looking for a great performing and very stylish laptop. Has touch-screen capabilities as well

Excellent features. Manual/guide was missing from box. First time user of laptop, touch screen and Windows 8 version. Laptop is a little heavy. I have difficulty using mouse pad. Otherwise, excellent laptop.

I bought this computer for the display - in the store the high def display made it a great value. When I got mine home, however, I found a defective display - unrealistic colors that progressively got worse with time from when the computer was turned on. I contacted Dell support and they were excellent working through tests with me plus updating drivers. The result, however, was that it had to go back. When it came back the display had excellent color but no high def - they had substituted the $200 less expensive low def display. Back on the phone to Dell. Their tech support person was excellent once again. As usual the technician took over control of the computer and I could watch everything he did including pulling up the Best Buy order which proved Best Buy had specified the high resolution display. Once they got to that part of the order there was a very long pause - 10 minutes or so - and the tech came back with profuse apologies. I never got upset throughout this ordeal - after all the tech didn't make the mistake - but I have never had somebody do so much apologizing, and he insisted I talk with his supervisor who added to the apologies. They said that even though I live 90 miles from the nearest city they would get a technician to replace my screen on site. This is the holiday season, things are busy, so the technician arrives with the new display between Christmas and New Years. Guess what - its defective. The self-diagnostic system in the computer wouldn't allow it to boot instead giving the technician the code that the display was defective. He tried everything including switching displays back and forth several times, then got on the phone with his Dell contact. They both agreed the new display was defective and asked me once again to return to Dell so it would be properly tested with a new display. Fine with me - mistakes happen, parts are defective, but its how you treat the customer, so the computer once again was in the air back to Dell. The return box arrived the next day, I sent it immediately and got confirmation it arrived at Dell the following day. Since then Dell has called me at least every other business day to update me on the computer's status. Problem - they couldn't come up with a display that worked and their supplier quit giving a promise date for shipment of new parts. They finally asked if it would be satisfactory to send me a new computer, but that was 3 days ago and I still haven't received a call from Dell saying the manager responsible for making the final decision had given their approval. So here I am, 43 days since I bought the computer, and I still have no computer. The only thing I was able to do with it was install software. When used with an external display performance was everything I had expected and the fact that colors were perfect with both of my external monitors proved the problem was the built-in display and not the internal video. Dell support has also been very responsive but in the end, I still do not have a working computer.

speedy and easy to set up. keyboard is easy to type on and the touchpad is very responsive. very nice looking and it has adequate ports. wish it had an optical drive, but most newer computers are not these days. opening the computer when it is closed requires two hands and that is not much fun. at the same time the screen stays where you put it when you open it up. The noise is persistent and somewhat bothersome. It sounds like the hard drive spinning or the fan. I will have it checked out before I can give this a solid recommendation.

One of the nice laptops that I could find that is thin and still had the option to upgrade RAM int he future if I need to. The display resolution is good and the touch screen works great with Windows 8.1

Very fast, sleek look like a Mac , light for being almost 16inches, great screen! A little expensive but I believe that it's a great investment with superior quality!

This laptop is used for out of town business mtg. The size is not too big. Fast and easy to manage. Nothing bad to say so far.

I just went to Best Buy to see about fixing my PC and came home with this great laptop! It has been a good replacement for my PC, and I appreciated it's portability last week when I was without internet at home. The keyboard is comfortable. I have plenty of USB ports. The video is really nice. Very happy with my purchase.

The touch screen is a little awkward to use but not hard to learn. Great processing speed and a very sharp display screen. A little heavy so I would not recommend this for business was travel. Great home computer.

great laptop that I will use every day. really like windows 8. it is very light weight. perfect ram and disk space.

love the touch screen - definitely worth the extra money. also love having the convenient 10-key pad on the right for quick entry. only downfall is the weight - heavy to lug around all day.

Great laptop, beautiful aluminium metal finish. 8Gb Ram packs a punch as well as the i7 processor. Intergrated graphics fine for standard use, but it would have been nicer if it came with a dedicated card for video encoding. Overall great mid-high end laptop with a low price point, would recommend this easily.

This is one of the best Dell Laptops that I bought from Best Buy. It is fast and the touch screen is very responsive. The features of the laptop are user friendly. Best Buy guys are very helpful in selecting product(s) not just with this one and other products that I bought over the years from their stores.

It was time to update my computer and the guy at best buy was very helpful in explaining the features. This computer is used for business and personal time. I am content overall with this device. I always want a cheaper purchase, however, it was reasonably priced.
